I know what you mean. Technically, homosexuality is neither abnormal, previously concluded, nor is it wrong. When I use the word "wrong", I don't mean it in the literal sense as in "it's wrong to shoot your friends". It is wrong in the sense that homosexual behaviour contradicts the nature of man.

I already supposed that was what you meant. Your use of words was, well... let's just say very poorly chosen, which caused a lot of people to go ad hominem on you. And imo, even the statement that homosexuality contradicts nature is open to discussion, as anomalies are a integral part of life. Without them, we would all the same. And that wouldn't be very natural either, would it?

In science it is taken as a fact that homosexuality is caused by an anomalous chemical in the human body, and thus not by personal choice. Of course, there are some people who have intimate physical relations with people of the same gender by choice. But those people are not considered real homosexuals, they are rather just obscene.

Well, personally i find the image of two guys having sex disgusting but i strongly believe that they were born gay, they can't be cured and magically become heterosexual and that's why i don't hate them and i don't have problems with them. The way i see it is that Now society sees it as normal and ok to be gay, even in the 60's it was considered extremley wrong eg. Brian Epstien, the beatles manager was gay, there were hardly any gays around whatsoever now it's almost 1 in 20

I have nothing against the act of homosexuality, but I certainly despise the "gay culture". The flowers, the rainbows, the haircuts and accents, the attempts at being controversial and the whole Fab 5 culture give homosexuals a bad name.

Homosexuality in itself, while not really my cup of tea, is not really a weird concept. Most of us try to enjoy our lives, and we all find pleasure in different ways.

The study says people may be unaware of it. Ergo if you are unaware, then you cannot claim that you aren't, because you may think you're not and still be. You weren't in that study so we can't know for sure if maybe you're not one of those people who got aroused.

It could, you're right.
Many homosexuals probably had no knowledge that others like them existed when they went to the monasteries and it could be the environment (in this case a monastry full of men) that made them gay, but in most cases that's not what happened.

In the archive of the Bulgarian institute of history i actually read these manuscripts of the monks from the Zograf Monastery on Athos. One monk from Ohrid (now Macedonia) escaped from home because it was time to marry and he didn't want to marry a woman. The same guy in another letter writes about his feelings for another monk.

I beg to differ. There have been homosexuals since the beginning of time. At different periods the lifestyle was embraced and during others it was shunned. In the 1960s homosexuality was shunned by the mainstream, so you had far less "open" homosexuals as you do today, where the climate is so much easier to lead a gay lifestyle in public.

The number of gay people isn't bigger (i'm talking about the percentage) than it was 60 years ago. It's just that the society is more open minded now so they don't have to hide.

Well, of course not. Btw when I was growing up it was fashionable to say that you could spot a gay dude. I don't know if people were just bsing or if they were serious, cause I have like the worst gaydar in the world. Someone would tell me a person was gay and I'd be like "nooooo, really?". Anyway, about the accent I think it bothers me because I'm convinced it's fake. I've never met a person without any gay characteristic, *just* the accent. So it's like someone playing a character next to you and you know they're not really being who they are. That's kinda creepy.

When debating about something in real life, something that could merit you respect and so forth. By all meeans, do look up all the facts and information. When debating in a forum, it's not really important. I like to mess around here and have fun, I enjoy making up bullshit theories and fucking around with people. Try it some time. It's a scientific study, it doesn't matter if you consider it logic or not, it's a proven fact. I'm sure there were people 400 hundred years ago who thought the world must be flat, a round world just isn't "logical". And yet today we know better.
