It'd be creepy if anyone in my team (especially in such a contact sport as football) admitted that he was gay, and I'd probably vote for him to get kicked out of the team, so that I could concentrate on the game not watch my back all the time. Your sexual preference isn't relative or at least shouldn't be relative to your job, I'm not saying they should go around announcing it and making sure everybody accepts them but they shouldn't have to lie about who they are just to avoid ignorance of others.

as for your second part, is this just an dodge you use when you don't have a better response? My point was that it should not be any of your concern what your co-worker does in their own time so I don't get why it would bother you if they are doing "gay stuff".
