My facts are straight , you have never once in any thread on tis forum stuck up for the religious who get bashed in any thread possible but here you stick up for the gays while totally ignoring the religious bashing
I am not religious but I don't insult religion nor religious people and at the same time I don't have to defend them. Where is the hypocricy in that? You don't seem to defend gays, does that make you a hypocrite?

Do you read? I not only condemned that idiotic statement I also said multiple times that insulting either side does nothing to further the discussion , on top of coming out and saying that gay adoption wouldn't bother me and God bless them if its a loving home. selective reading much, or is it just because I'm religious you assume you know anything about me

Wearing your religion as a t shirt isn't going to get you much sympathy. People will disagree with, belittle question, or even insult religion from time to time not only around here but also in life, in the real world. Constantly saying "I'm religious and a good person" isn't a magic forcefield that's going to save you from feeling insulted by generalizations caused by religious dolts that spend too much time in the main stream (ex. Westboro Baptist Church). You just need to realize that everything is not a personal attack toward you and even if the content is insulting there's nothing you can really do about it, but move on. I think that's why you call it faith.

you can blather all you want, I don't even say or act like that and again your using religious extreme to justify mockery. in the end there is a double standard on this forum, mocking religion and faith is ok, but if someone says anything about progressive thought or science its the end of the world even if its not mockery. i have stated multiple times its not acceptable either way and yet you all put me in the box. also saying that attacking a persons faith isn't personal is completely ignorant to where a person of faith holds that belief. To use the prophet Mohammed or Jesus Christ in a derogatory light is the same as insulting a person directly

No it's not. To equate attacking an idea with an attack on a person is precisely the problem, a fundamental logical flaw. To call Jesus a name is no different from calling Juve a name. If you call Juve a name you're not actually insulting me, only Juve.

If I choose to associate myself with Juve that's my choice. It doesn't mean everyone else has to tiptoe around the topic.

I think you've just completely generalized me based on the merits of others in this thread. Quite amusing considering I didn't once justify the insulting of religion or the ridiculing of prophets. Using words like "you all" and claiming "we've" put you in the box. I've done nothing of the sort. My post was intended to inform you that you shouldn't let everything get to you.

I don't need to make my next point because you've done it for me.:D

So what? I can say that Amauri is my god and savior. Or Freud. Or Obama. Or JCK. And based on that you will not say anything nasty about them, agreed?

This could lead to a really interesting discussion, but I think we can leave that for another time. I think you're having 3 different conversations at the moment and I have some work to do.:D

ONCE AGAIN THE POINT IS YOU SHOULD NOT MAKE FUN OF A PERSONS FAITH LET ALONE THEIR SEXUALITY! On here sexuality is sacred but faith is not THATS THE POINT!
I don't think either of them should be sacred, nor should anything else. Sacred is just a bs cop out to have a ridiculous opinion and prevent people from talking about it.

well your opinion is ridiculous people hold things sacred be it faith, family, country or sexuality. Just because you believe it shouldn't be doesn't make it true
