Bale is an extremely good talented kid and was very pricy for a reason.

But this rumour is 200% bull, not because its tuttocrap, but it just has zero chance of ever happening. Tottenham just bought him, and for a hefty sum, good reason for it not to happen. Us being interested is extremely doubtful too.

And these automatic haters, Bale is just 18 but is a very good and offensive LB. And he is NOT english. You can talk crap without seeing him, but get his nationality right, he is Welsh.

Have you even watched the kid play??or are you jumping on the "all British players are overrated" bandwagon?
Yes, all British players ARE overrated, if you compare on the price tag they have. When buying a british player, you automatically pay more just because he is British, and that doesn't interest me at all, when I know you easily can find a better player in Italy for less of Bales worth.

Just look when what Tottenham gave for Darren Bent. If you ask me, he wouldn't even have been worth half the price if he was from Italy...

So yes, im narrowminded when it comes to british players. And to answer your question, yes i find majority of the British players overrated when compared to the pricetag they wear.

1) Bent is indeed overrated.
2) You dismissed Bale as a player you didnt say anything about his price..and like i said before in a previous post, aside from his astronomical price he's a talented player with a bright future ahead of him
3) Players dont wear pricetags, you dont buy them from the convenience store you know.

The prices are simply because their clubs are so rich and there are few really top or decent talents who are domestic ones, hence there are big price wars over them (too many clubs with alot of money, too little domestic talents to fight over). The likes of Walcott and Bale are far and few between, hence most top teams fought for them and they upped the prices for it.

Its only natural, its about basic demand and supply, even average players like Bent go for that much because the other teams who wanted him were filthy rich too, like West Ham who offered ridicolous money but Tottenham won out.

There are alot of factors like this that explains the exaggerated prices, consider them before you become "narrow minded". Pretty sad you almost said you are that like you are proud of it.

Lastly, the prices doesnt say shit about the players but everything about their market for domestic players. Its extremely silly to say a top talent like Bale is shit because of where he comes from and how much they buy players for.

I'm just saying he isn't worth the money for Juve to invest in. And it doesn't matter if we discuss this for days or months, I'm pretty sure you agree on that simpel fact aswell.

Anyway, this is a "bs" rumour, and is never going to happen.

His astronomic price aside...he's actually a talented player..theres no doubting that..And Taye Taiwo?? the guy cant defend, he cant attack, he is very overrated...imo he's overrated because of his ability to score screamers..he has one wicked shot, thats for sure.

Bale is easily he most exciting young British player right now. This guy's extremley good on the left flank as far as attacking is concerned.Plus he's great at taking free kicks too. However,i think he's a bit too attacking for Juve's liking as far as a LB is concerned. His defending is kinda suspect though.

Definitely agree with that, but that can be fixed imo..he's still just 18..

the thing i am not too sure about drenthe is, is that he was much before the U-21 championships and had a couple of good games and all of asudden everyone was getting a big boner over him.

Bale is likely the best under 20 (he's 18) LB playing in the top leagues today. he plays regularly for a club that is expected to finish in the top half. He can cross, he can defend well, and he is good at free kicks...and he is only 18 (he was also wanted by ManU)

it seems too good to be true that we are trying to get him. however I'd pay up to €15 million for him. probably a player that is good enough to take the Zambrotta spot at Lb in the future.

oh and the bias towards EPL players (especially english ones is ) annoying. yeah I realise that the english overhype their league and players, that doesn't mean it's not on par with the other leagues, or that they don't have WC players. people around here always complain about English bias, but have no problem at all being biased themselves. gotta love Hypocrisy

Firstly, you were taking pride in being "narrow minded" (thats just bizzare), secondly you are putting too much emphasizes on the pricetags and too little on the actual player (just because the prices are too high, doesnt mean the players arent top ones). Thirdly I wasnt only addressing you but (were speaking more generally) but also guys like the topic starter DudebuD (and that boring bad troll kraut) who said he is shit just because he is brittish, and general narrow minded and retarded attitude like that.

I dont think a single ounce of this rumour is true. And if it was, even if I rate Bale as the best top youngsters in the word, Tottenham having just bought ridicolous amount for him, wont let him go unless the money is crazy. And its not worth putting crazy money on an 18 year old in a position that isnt that vital and we arent so badly in need of( positions like LB you can have an ok player and still have big successful team).

If the scenario was any different, I would want a top talent like him (future best in his position kinda player), but he is just too pricey to bother with.
