Since when does everyone considers Sagnol a world class defender?! To me, he's another Zebina who doesn't look stupid.

I don't think we're considering him worldclass, I'd surely rather still have Zambo on right, but he is free and I imagine another Kovac. A solid free performer.

Well I saw the rumour about Gallas on Channel4 and it says we would try to get him for free at the end of the season so Gallas for free?!?! I`m for it!

Gallas would be good for playing at right back next year, and take over from Thuram in 2007 in centre back.

Gallas would probably only join if he's garanteed a starting place. Moggi will probably only sign him if Chivu and Barzagli are too expensive.

think you are right but IMo we would be mad to let the shance of a good solid performer like him slip through our fingers and he will be coming to his prime. good move if we get him and chivu

Gallas would make for an excellent signing for any team looking for a defender and if Moggi can get him on a free that would be sensational. He would be a brilliant replacement for Thuram and his ability to play at right or left back makes the prospect of acquiring his services that much more appealing. He shouldn't have any trouble settling in with a number of French internationals already plying their trade in Turin so if he doesn't extend his contract with Chelsea we should do everything possible to make him a Juventus player.

Just imagine a back four of Willy Sagnol, William Gallas, Fabio Cannavaro and Gianluca Zambrotta with Emerson and Patrick Vieira infront of them. Impenetrable.

First of all, Gallas is just plain better than Barzagli. Secondly, he's not injury prone like Chivu. Thirdly, he's more versatile than both Chivu and Barzagli. And lastly but most importantly, he's FREE!

Gallas would be an awesome signing if you ask me.

I'm not sure he can actually play LB though. Chelsea only played him there because they were desperate and he can only use his right foot in any case.
Left back certainly isn't his best position. He's a lot more comfortable in the centre and on the right but he can do a decent job on the left and with Pessotto and Birindelli ageing and Chiellini not living up to the high expectations many had for him I wouldn't mind being able to call on Gallas to play in that position.

Sure we could use him there in an emergency but if we get Chivu he should be the next option after Zambrotta. It's not ideal to have an completely right footed player at LB, it causes too many problems when attacking as he has to cut inside all the time to cross. I've seen this quite a lot with him at Chelsea.
