Does anybody know how much napoli paid for quagliarella? I dont remember it being close to 21m so I get why Dagos pricetag is so high. I thought we had good relations with udine but it seems like they are trying to milk us on this deal..

I thought by now they would realize that we are not going to pay as much as we did for Diego and we are not going to give away one of the two players who are going to be the backbone of the future Juve.

Since there are no other teams., showing a naive interest on that over-hyped player,
Udine wold have to option, than to succumb to their players will and accept a realistic price tag.
Since this is not the case, they might have plans of keeping them there forever.
Starting from next year, his age will start affecting his price tag even more...

This is an opportunity they and Dago lose, not us...
We can find alternatives, but they will never will be able to cash in, that much, for Dago. I m pleased to see that the player and his agent insist to bring it on, but our board shows that we are not desperate to get him.
As time goes by, the need to find more income from sales arise
and suitors appear on Dago, they will be forced to find a compromise!

And i also believe that they would prefer having the sum of Dago's sale, in their hands asap.
So that they will plan their transfer strategy. Our board said that we want all of the new players by the end of the first week of July, so that Ferrara will start building the new team from the start.

I think Udinese are sticking to their demands since secco didn't make it clear the we have other options. IMO he should place an offer for Diarra and another alternative as soon as possible. when that happens Udinese will be forced to reduce their demands which are too high for a player his age.

even if we didn't get him its not a big deal he is not Gerrard for gods sake.

we shouldn't overpay for another midfielder

D'Ago deal means sacrifice

Juventus will have to make Sebastian Giovinco and Claudio Marchisio part of any deal for Udinese midfielder Gaetano D'Agostino.

Tuttosport understands the Zebrette are holding out for £12.5m plus 50 per cent of both Giovinco and Marchisio.

The two players would not move to Udinese immediately, though, and would remain available to Ciro Ferrara.

Giovinco is apparently unwilling to countenance the deal.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder either wants to stay at Juventus or be sold outright to a team capable of offering him Champions League football.

Alternatively, Juventus will have to meet Udinese's rather steep asking price for D'Agostino, who desperately wants to move to Turin.

If other players are not involved the Zebrette want £21m for D'Agostino, which the Bianconeri have already shelled out for Diego.

Juventus have options, though. They are being linked with Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra instead.

The Mali international would come a lot cheaper at £12m and the Bianconeri would not have to give up Giovinco and Marchisio.

How about........NO?
i say screw them and le'ts get an other player instead :)

D'Agostino has been showing his desire to play for Juve and I believe it is difficult for Udinese to keep him happy. It's funny that they can be so sticky about that unreasonable request in such a disadvantageous position.

Just tell them we are not interested in this deal anymore and let them keep him.

we can get M.Diarra or Ledesma with 15m
or even Gago/Sneijder if we can pay 25m

by the way how many non-EU players we got.

we got amauri, diego, sissoko, salihamedich and knezevic (as far as i know croatian and bosnian players are not considered EU players, correct me if I'm wrong) but does any of those got a European passport?

Pretty sure the EU rule is only that you can purchase only 1 player non-EU player each season.

E.g. when we signed Mutu we had an agreement for Livorno to sign him first and then give him to Juve in the same window because we had already signed a non-EU player, whereas they had not.

Diego didn't count as Non-EU because he has an Italian passport, so we can still sign a Non-EU player.

Edit@Boksic: Two non-eu players each season.

:howler:

Bullshit of the highest order.
Hope so. If we gave up Gio or Marchisio I would personally go down there and bust some heads.
This deal is very much like a relationship, you see. We should act disinterested and wait till they crack.

We can buy 2 non-EU players each season. Only players without a passport from an EU country, bought out of Italy, count as non-EU players.

Diego has an Italian passport, Sissoko has French passport, Brazzo has German passport and Knezevic and Amauri were brought from an Italian team.
In the last 3 years we haven't bought a single non-EU player.
