Completely disagree, we need a big squad full of many effective players if we plan on not finishing second again. Two or three class players for each position is what we need if we are to truly compete with the barcas, reals, man u's and inters. Calling him a luxury player is loser talk to me, i may have delusions of juve still being a winning club, but its quality upon quality that makes winning teams, and i think for our new formation we need a d'agostino as well as cover for full-backs.
Do you believe that our starters and subs in the defense are at the same level with out starters and options in the midfield and attack??
As long as we have starters like Grygera and Molinaro in the defense and Camo, Sissoko, Amauri, DP, Diego and Marchisio in the attack+midfield, Dago is a luxury!!!

Besides, we still have CZ, Tiago/Almiron, Giovinco and Poulsen for depth. We have already have one good back up for each place in our starters eleven.

The average Dago is not a significant upgrade, he just had a great year that he might, or might not repeat with us. He is not a world class potential and he knows that, he is only pleased /flattered that at the best form of his life a club like Juve wants him.
But he is def not worthy of anything near the 25-30mil euros, he is tag claims.
We can live without him, he will not be a significant upgrade to Marchisio, not now or in the future and he is more exp than similar valued players.
However you see it, he is a luxury!! Now if we fix our defense and sell some of our extra midfielders to create some free slots and funds.
Then we can use that sum to buy a player like Dago, but not that overpriced!!

No, Cronios I think he's a significant upgrade. It's good to have a Pirlo style MC; that would be great.

What is really an unnecessary update is Diarra. We already have Sissoko and Marchisio for that position.

Haha, give them Marchisio who is a starter for Juventus and Giovinco who is the biggest talent in the u-21 championship right now for a 27 year old D'Ago? Oh yeah, sure, why not? Let's give them Diego and Chiellini while we are at it.

A significant upgrade to Marchisio or Camo???
What can he offer more that those guys?
And consider that we could buy 2 top quality wingbacks of equal quality that would be a real upgrade to our current ones, with the asking price, they ask for Dago...
Considering the current ones are not in Camo's level and on Marchisio's potential,
you can do the math from there...

As for Diarra, he is a real DM and replacing Poulsen with a more "able", defensively player, whould give us the tactical option to use the 4-2-3-1 formation in a more permanent basis...

So e could use Camo Diego Giovinco in the same formation.
If this is not a priority, then i also see him as a luxury...

I heard this guy is the 1st in complete tackle and 3rd in passes completed in Serie A last season. Do you guys have his play statistic 2 or 3 season ago?
It's hard to find those stats but knowing his style, i think D'Ago always had good stats in passing but my memories about him (prior to this season) are of a kinda lazy player with good technique, too soft, who tends to disappear from the game.

The talent and potential were there, but he was doing a Tiago. Never gave 100% and looked like he doesn't give a damn.
This year he looked like a completely different player. Dunno what happened and why did he decide to be much more active.
As you said, he was 1st in won tackles and 3rd in passes completed. He was also the 4th best crosser in the league this year. He made 8 assists, which makes him a top 10 assistman (8th to be more precise) and he also scored many goals (11) although around half of them were from PK.

These stats are great and we do need a player with his characteristics in the team, but i also understand those who are sceptical about him because although the huge potential was always there, he does have only one single good season behind him and it's hard to predict if he'll keep giving 100% or he'll get back to his old ways.

I know what you mean about him being lazy prior to this season, but seeing how desperate he is to join us and how he "loves" Juve, I expect him to give his all, especially with the WC coming up.

If he keeps up this seasons form, this will be a fine transfer.

Udinese are really playing hardball with D'Agostino, who is no superstar and, at 27, not a youngster either. I'm really suprised we are even thinking about spending anywhere near €20M for this guy. IMO, he should be going for around €12M.

Either he comes cheap or forget about it and use the funds for a fullback or a hardcore DM. No Juve fan is going to cry over not getting D'Agostino.

Of course we won't pay 20m for him, not even close.
But there is no drama if we're being realistic and there is no fun in being realistic.

So gimmie a FUCK SUCKO and lets stop talking sense.

I'd rather give you a FUCK CUNTavarro and FUCK GIUSAPPY RAGGI than a FUCK SUCKO, as they are worse than him. At least Secco tries!
