Davids was actually a Milan flop. Together with Zidane, a player whom wasn't well-known until he join Juve.

It was golden times back then when Zidane-Davids was probably the most awesome midfield duo. Even Iniesta-Xavi will have to take a step back, maybe 2 ... hmm 3 .. NO!!! 4

Ferrara was already an established defender in Napoli. He was already with the Azzurri in Italia 90. Remember that cos I had the Panini Sticker album for World Cup 1990. So ur right

Davids was an up and coming star for Ajax together with Kluivert, Seedof and the De Boer bros. Joined Milan, flopped there and was also sent back home from the Euro96 championship by Advocat, I think. Career started to go downhill ...
Joined Juve and became the pitbull he was so famous for.

IIRC, he was one of the Ajax players who missed a penalty kick against Juve in the 1996 CL final. In the 1995 CL final he played the whole match against Milan.

IMO 14-15m Euro, and half of Paolucci would be a pretty solid deal...

I haven't seen very much of Paolucci though. We are pretty well stocked up front...
