I wasnt too keen on him early in the season when I thought we could sign a top CM, obviously we wont, and also he has majorly impressed me big time this season. Not a top player or become one any time soon, but is really really good and brings the kind of qualities we need. Great passer, and as Alen said, watching him lately, he has been pretty good in taking of himself defensively too. Thought he was too soft, but hasnt been much so so far. He would be an excellent replacement for Zanetti.

If he did that at 21 I'd be yeah, good buy but he's 27 now and I still didn't see him make a sliding tackle. By playing in the center the ball always seems to find you. Ok I'm pushing it but the last buys apart from Momo really make me wary. Montolivo also has intercepted some balls but he's no defensive prodigy.

The guy is also hyped by the media since he's Italian and scored lots of goals. Most of them on pk and free kicks.

but like I said, he's not a bad player but needs the right environment to play at full capacity and if he does joins us I hope he's not a one hit wonder and that his great career just started.

D'Agostino is playing a wonderful season,no one can deny that.The talent was always there and he was one of the most promising Italian offensive midfielders a few years ago.Since he joined Udinese and since he is playing a more defensive role in midfield he is constantly improving.

Stats aside,he's playing great and everybody who saw more than 10 games of him can confirm that.I'd be glad if we get him.

Molinaro is a solid tackler and his speed and work rate allow him to be everywhere and intercept many balls. I don't think anyone can deny that. Those are his main (only?) qualities.

But regarding everything else Moli is below average.
And the difference here is that Molinaro is a defender so he should normally have good stats in these defensive categories (especially since he played a lot this year). D'Agostino is not a defender and not even a DM. That's what makes his stats look so good.

That's the only way I could see it happening but that means no Gio and Camo.

There was a time for this transfer, back then, when we were buying Tiagos and Almirons, now it is too late for that...
We are stacked up with average quality players we have overpaid and can be only used a depth player and a very promising youngster.
D Agostino is not wc and he is not the great step forward that will enhance our team so much that would eradicate our real issues...
If we use 2 DMs defending behind Diego, we need someone who can defend better. Because in case Sissoko cant play, neither of CZ, Marchisio, Tiago/Almiron or Poulsen cant defend like him.
Dagostino's offensive play would have been really useful right now, but now we got Diego. We could even use him as an extra squad player and thats why i didnt want us to sign Poulsen and save that place for a more useful player.
Secco is unable to sell Almiron and Tiago, with the money we paid for them, we could have 2 Dagostinos, right now, i dont think that we can achieve of straight swap of the two of them for him...

The most prudent way, to minimize damage is not sell one, keep one as depth and only buy top quality material from now, we are stacked up with mediocrity,

I do, Moli's tackle are not any better than his crosses.
He cannot perform as tackle, only simulate it! Thats why he sux as a defender too...

D'Agostino is needed more than Diego in the team I believe. It would be nice signing for us to replace ineffective Poulsen. He will cost a lot cheaper than Players like Alonso, Toure etc.

I wouldn't say Poulsen is ineffective. He is a defensive mid and isn't exactly known for his passing and creating abilities. We didn't buy him for his silky smooth passing skills. We got him because he isn't afraid to get stuck in a tackle, and he's good at disrupting opposition play.

Everyone thinks Poulsen is such a flop when in actuality he hasn't been bad during the few times he's played. He's been injured for the most part so that has probably affected his blending into the squad but we still have yet to see the best of him. If we sell any midfielder it has to be Tiago. He's rubbish.
