Lets say we sign him who would you say start in our mid Diego is a certainty who are the others what do you think
I personally thought we have Diego Sissoko Camoranesi and Marchisio but could I be wrong?

it would be this:

Marchisio--Sissoko-D'Agostino

----Diego------

with Zanetti, Camo, Giovinco, Sali, and Poulsen as subs.

What a fecking team Udinese had this season. I would easily take Zapata, Felipe, Handanovic(as Buffon replacement later), Inler, D'Agostino and Asamoah. And then they have Pepe, Di Natale and Quagliarella and they play for the Italian NT.

Handanovic

Isla - Zapata - Felipe - Pasquale

Inler - D'Agostino - Asamoah

Pepe - Di Natale - Quagliarella

So basically you want every single Udinese player? if they are so damn good, why the hell aren't they Scudetto contenders

No I wouldn't take every player that would be stupid and expensive dont you think? But I think every big team out there would love to sign those players I just mentioned.

D'Agostino is as close to Pirlo as Italy has, and he has been probably one of the best midfielders and Serie A players this season. He would be a huge coup, a Marchisio-D'Agostino-Sissoko midfield would be awesome. A wonderful regista and after the two great years he's had at Udinese, he deserves a shot at a big club.

He won't come too expensive considering our good relations with Udinese, also we can sweeten the deal with the loan/co-ownership of some of our Primavera players (but not Giovinco for sure).

Yeah quite a good team
I actually would like D`Agostino from I heard and based on statistics
Inler is also a good player but I rather see us get D`Agostino unless it is FM there Inler is awesome...
As for Asamoah I heard he is good. Is he a Sissoko type of midfielder? anyway probably should be given more time to develope
Zapata you said he was great and then said he is overated
Quagliarella went to Napoli and Pepe isn`t Juve material

Asamoah is a Essien type of player with better technic. He could grow into one of the best midfielders out there. Just 20 years old.

I don't want d'ago if it means marchisio looses his starting place, next year is very important for him, by the end of next season he could be one of our key players

I also think that Dagostino will undermine Marchisio's future in our team.
And i also foresee the lack of a real DM, rather for the times Sissoko wont be available.
Poulsen is def not up to this task, neither CZ any more, we dont have any other dynamic DM like Sissoko, but an abundance of exp players to minimize Marchisio's playing time.

What a grave mistake Dagostino would have been, esp if we dont sell both Tiago and Almiron, or buy at least two starter defenders first.

We should rather respect our priorities, rather than waste Camo and Marchisio on the bench...

I think D'Agostino and Marchisio will complement eachother well. The stylish artist and the dynamic workhorse. Like many of us said in previous pages. Sissoko and Marchisio are there for the mileage and coverage while d'Agostino will orchestrate the play.

Cronios, you (rightly) stress the need to sign starters instead of subs time and time again. Yet here you propose the opposite.. instead of D'Agostino (starter) you want someone to replace Sissoko (sub).

In the end it depends on what type of game we want to play. If we want to play more 'english' D'Agostino would be out of the question. Considering our purchase of Diego though and if we play DP, Camo and Giovinco I reckon someone like D'Agostino fits in much better.

I dont see a one year wonder as a sure starter for both this season and the next. He would only be a starter now, not if we got someone as valuable as Alonso, or if Marchisio fulfills his WC potential!
He is basically another sub in my books, either directly, or indirectly, like turning Marchisio into one!
I dont see far more potential to Dagostino, than the one i see in Marchisio and we already have Poulsen for depth, i think its enough!

On our RB for ex we dont have nothing as potent as Marchisio or as valuable alternative as Poulsen.

Therefore i dont see this addition as a vital one, never tactically or strategically!

The conditions i would accept Dagostino would have been;
-To fix our persistent issue in the defense first, according the necessary funds there.
And then,
-IF we make the necessary funds and squad slots from the sales of both Tiago and Almiron.
-And if we surely decide to field a 4-3-3, 4-3-1-2, or any other non winger formation, that would guarantee the need for 3 starter CM/DMs and 3 backups. Then and only then, i would see the necessity for one more DM/CM. Considering that Camo, Marchisio, CZ and can play in the CM role efficiently, but none of them can be the dynamic DM, Sissoko is, even, i would rather choose as hardcore DM.

I dont see those conditions to be fulfilled and i think that atm, this transfer is a waste of funds. Dagostino is not the wc player, or even the wc player that worth sacrificing our priorities. Alonso is and Aquilani hold that potential, but Dagostino is as promising as Almiron used to be at Empoli...
And above all, he is not a priority!! Why should buy him instead of Poulsen, but what is done is done, we are not going to fix a mistake by committing another one.
We have trusted our flank to Grygera and Zebina for more than enough time, lets not neglet it again, only because Dagostino can dribble better than them, oh and he is Italian...
If we have the abundance of money to buy him, after buying the defenders we need and forwards our board wants, then i m all for him too!
Lets buy 3-4 Dagostinos!! But not instead of half a defender!!!

Our formation is not confirmed, heck our coach is not confirmed, the acquisition of defenders is not confirmed, not even the sale of both of Tiago and Almiron are not confirmed either, why would be interested on Dagostino now?? like we dont have any more important matters to address...
