I wonder if Krasic could work in that position. I guess if he goes more out wide he could, while Aguero stays closer to Matri.

It would just be a disjointed 4-3-3. If the attacking players have freedom to roam they will naturally move to the positions they prefer the most.

Number itself didn't really matter, you can put 3 or 5, it's not even the point.

It's key, in a 4-3-3 to have a guy to break from midfield to ensure there isn't a hug gap between the midfield and the forwards.

Lampard is probably the player who has done this best in recent years. It's a role that Marchisio could possibly have a go at, but there's no guarantee he could do it.

Without that player you need one of the forwards do drop off and get into a trequatista sort of position at times to stop a gap developing. Of the players Juve have been linked with, Sanchez is the guy who could start on the left and drift into that sort of area.

Marchisio did a lot of that this season, would constantly make runs from MF into the box.

doesn't have to be everywhere at all if we play with 3 up front...just needs to make a run in the box whenever the ball is played out wide for example.

he will run for 90 mins and is a good tackler, that we have already seen.
