Not exactly imo. Sissoko of the last two years is not exactly better than Pazienza. So getting the later for free and with lower wages while selling Sissoko and his wages which are probably higher than what Pazienza's wages will be while not losing more or less nothing in terms of quality is a pretty good deal overall. And I do think Inler is better than Melo.

That's of course if we are to believe the rumours that Melo and Sissoko will go, and Inler and Pazienza will come.
I am in full agreement that Sissoko needs to go, but Pazienza isn't better than he is. He can only execute passes better. Even a bad Sissoko is better defensively, IMO.

And welcome back.

Sissoko might be better defensively than Pazienza, but with right players next to him (Marchisio, Pirlo) I'm pretty sure that Pazienza would play very good. If this deal is about replacing a backup player with another backup player, then even in business terms, it's a pretty good deal. We get some extra cash while losing very little, if anything at all in quality. We can just hope that we won't get hit hard by injuries like recent years and end up having to play Pazienza every game.

Thanks btw, although I think it's just a matter of time before I dissapear again haha.

Just keep both Melo and Sissoko, and get us a forward, LW and RB and close this mercato
Keep an unmotivated player who said that if Del Neri leaves he leaves too and an average player with high wages (for a backup) while you could easily get 8m for him. Keeping both of them doesn't sound so good for me.

I wouldn't take what he said seriously, players change their words as often as they do change their socks. I believe with a new coach, system and environment things will be different.
Players enjoy playing for coaches that trust them, if Conte sits with Melo and tells him that he is part of his plan, then Melo will change 180 degrees, it only take a few words from the coach and things should be alright

It's not just what he said about him leaving if Del Neri leaves. Melo just loses control way too easily for my liking.

I agree, but he improved alot in that department during last season, compared to the previous one. He is just a passionate player that goes out there and give it all. He needs to be under control at all times

Can we play both him and Pirlo together in a two man midfield, i think we need some muscle there some DM like Lassana with either one of them.

I remember him saying so but that doesn't mean he will follow through. Letting him go would be stupid if our replacements are to be Pirlo, Pazienza, Aquilani.

Melo loved Del Neri because he put alot of trust in him, so he probably said it out of anger/sadness which shouldn't be a surprised since we all know Melo is passionate and outspoken.
If Conte wants him as part of the team, then this shouldn't take more than half an hour talk. Once Melo get the assurance from conte then he should be alright and completely committed

Still, what he said was just too idiotic, oh well, too Melo-ish.

I don't mind selling Melo and using the money to strengthen our transfer budget if we get Inler for a cheap price.

Sissoko is WAAAAAAAAY too much of a risk to have dicking around in front of the back four.

He wasn't a risk when he had a guy that can organize the midfield with a bit of passing flair like Zanetti. I think the addition of Pirlo would do alot of good things to the midfield, and players will get better around him.

Whoever told Sissoko that he can make a decent footballer is a war criminal.
:disagree:
The guy is not that bad, he is good enough. Put him next to a Pirlo, Xavi, Fabregas,...etc and he will deliver. He will run like a bulldog chasing balls, the guy is a destroyer, but don't ask him to put a creative pass to start an attack. He will clean the area, give the simple pass to the midfielder next to him, and move on, That's his job. After we got rid of Zanetti, nobody was there to take on his role, then you are asking our incompetent midfield to keep possession, but none of them capable of being consistent when it comes to delivering a pass. Back in 2008 most of the forum was hailing sissoko as the best thing since sliced bread, but now he is nothing. People tend to forget quickly these days.
