I would generally agree, that Serie A has been in a serious decline in recent years. You're reading WAY too much into these friendly results though. Last I checked, Milan were still european champions, but does that mean that Moskow is as good as them? Does that make Villa a better theam than the European champions (with Milan losing twice to Inter last year)?

these are only friendlies and mean absolutely nothing. Last time i checked Milan were the only Italian team in the semis and still went through to the win it.
Serie A doesn't have the prestige that it had before but that happens to every league from time to time.There is a lot of money in England and spain and thats why the deals are going there,and the market is very inflated(Darren Bent is worth 16.5m pounds ffs)
Actually Serie A will not have the same amount of money as England or Spain for a while but you will still see the italian teams doing well.
My question is if you hate this league so much why are you still following it ?
Well thats why i think we need another good defender next Andrade, as Ranieri's style of play is very open and he rarely closes down the opposition from the beginning.
I hope he doesn't go too adventurous with the team's play and going for the result sometimes instead of the playing good football is nothing to be ashamed of and we will need the a lot of points next season.

The last exciting Serie A season was in 2003/04. Since that it was a 2 horse race (Milan and Juventus) and last season was a disaster, the champion was already known in January.
