and the goal by sunderland, second time when the opponent scores from rebound, (first was against newcastle). why wasnt there player standing on the post? someone said this has always been the case/problem for juve, but i do remember that we have had players guarding the posts while a corner is taken in previous years.
Because Ranieri organises the defense poorly. This was always the case.

This result is not a surprise. Check out the rest of the games:

West Ham - Roma 2 - 1
Aston Villa - Inter 3 - 0
Atletico Madrid - Lazio 3 - 1

Juve played a draw against one of the weakest teams in EPL.

LOL. Makes you really wonder what is the true strength of Calcio. Or should I say true weakness?

Serie A is a joke nowadays. It is used to be the greatest league in the world and now it is becoming like Bundesliga with all the stars leaving for stronger leagues like Spain and England.

When was the last time an Italian club even made a great international transfer? 4-5 years ago. All the clubs almost went to bankrupcy since then except the rich, corrupted clubs from the North (Milan, Inter). Mediocre English teams like Manchester City, Aston Villa and Tottenham can compete with the likes of Milan, Juventus and Inter for players, but Inter and Milan are far, far beyond Chelsea and Man Utd in terms of richness.

Future is not looking bright for the Calcio and sadly, for Juventus too.....

Vieira, Chivu, Ibrahimovic, Figo, Cambiasso, Ronaldo, Giuly, Tiago...

I would generally agree, that Serie A has been in a serious decline in recent years. You're reading WAY too much into these friendly results though. Last I checked, Milan were still european champions, but does that mean that Moskow is as good as them? Does that make Villa a better theam than the European champions (with Milan losing twice to Inter last year)?

I think not..

I know I overreacted with some things, but I had to to make my point. And I think I succeeded. I always like to say that Milan is an exception from other Italian clubs.

Milan plays European football, other Italians play differently.

    Roy Keane's Comments:

“It’s not often you get the chance to play against a team like Juventus. It was an opportunity for my players to challenge themselves against some good players and they stood up to it. I’m delighted with all of them. It was a bigger challenge than in the last few weeks and they are happy in the dressing room. I thought we did well but the real challenge is next week, against Spurs. I thought the game was excellent – we’re heading in the right direction. We had a flow and even when we conceded the goal, in the last couple of minutes the players showed a great desire to try to win the game. Maybe we were unlucky not to have won it at the end but Juventus had plenty of possession and one or two chances themselves."

we are playing teams that are way ahead in their buildup to a new season
it doesn't mean anything we only need to realise where we failed and learn from it and if necessary we should get players where it is needed
I'd say a defender and one midfielder, I'd go for Meira and Diego
If we had scored just half of our chances we would have won all three friendlies but put things in perspective they are only friendlies

these are only friendlies and mean absolutely nothing. Last time i checked Milan were the only Italian team in the semis and still went through to the win it.

Serie A doesn't have the prestige that it had before but that happens to every league from time to time. There is a lot of money in England and spain and thats why the deals are going there, and the market is very inflated(Darren Bent is worth 16.5m pounds ffs)

Actually Serie A will not have the same amount of money as England or Spain for a while but you will still see the italian teams doing well.

My question is if you hate this league so much why are you still following it ?
I also wanted to add that Ranieri will not be good for Juve. He likes to play attacking football but all teams he has coached so far had a poor defense. We will have to get used to it. Ranieri is not the man for big things but I guess Juventus board don´t expect big things this season. I am sure though that the fans expect the Scudetto immediately.
Well thats why i think we need another good defender next Andrade, as Ranieri's style of play is very open and he rarely closes down the opposition from the beginning.
I hope he doesn't go too adventurous with the team's play and going for the result sometimes instead of the playing good football is nothing to be ashamed of and we will need the a lot of points next season.

You´re a dumbass, I have been following this league for 12 years and I don´t know nothing about it?

Yeah, you will teach me, but maybe when you turn 16. Moron.

I hate what Calcio has become because some years ago this league was an example to others and now is losing image and quality.

One more thing: When you love something and that disappoints you, you immediately start hating it, that is how I feel about Serie A.

its always serie a this, serie a that. i hate how you never have anything good to say. Sure it may not be as good as it used to be, but you can blame Calciopoli for that. It will take a little time to get back to how it once was, but the fact that Milan won CL shows that it is still strong. Lyon, a team who has won the Ligue 1 for 6 years in succession, cannot even make it past the quarters of CL, shows how good the French league is. There is never any competition in that league, unlike the Serie A, where every season (bar last years) is exciting and alot of teams have the potential to win it.

    theres no central cover
    :agree:

...It could be something like this:
    --------------------------------------Gigi
    -----------Grygera--------------Andrante--------------Chiellini
    --------------------Zanetti---------------Tiago/Nocerino
    ----------- Camo-------------Almiron----------------Neddy
    -----------------------Trez---------------------DP

The last exciting Serie A season was in 2003/04. Since that it was a 2 horse race (Milan and Juventus) and last season was a disaster, the champion was already known in January.

Serie A is not what it was. Accept it.
Thanks, Abed. I like how this blind Azzurri kids accuse someone for not knowing football when they don´t cheer for the mighty Azzurri.
