I never found our style of play boring. Anyway, when our players are in better shape than now, I'm sure the goals will come.

I always prefer to have men on the posts and it probably would have prevented the Sunderland goal.

I think he looks chubby in the same way Emerson did. Looks muscular and yet light footed.

yeah i was really impressed but Trez seems to be annoyed that Iaquinta doesn't pass to him. anyway i was also impressed with Almiron he have great vision and such accurat passes. is it me or does Nocerino looks alittle bit chubby ?

I think there are two things we need to learn from this game (and the other friendlies too):

1. With all the aerially strong players we have, we need to be better at defensive set pieces. With better heading, Sunderland could have scored another 2-3 goals.

2. It's time our strikes start scoring. Del Piero, Trezeguet and Iaquinta have all been guilty of sloppy finishing. We all know they are able to score and it's about time they show it to our opponents.

These missed chances are becoming even more comical now, and every time Iaquinta misses one I can't help but laugh a little. Because I knew it was coming.

But at least we're getting the misses out of our system now instead of during the season. At least I hope we are.

tbh i wouldnt say were any worse than the other big teams. the teasm that really have to shine a set pieces are the lower teams respectively, because they see it and a very good chance, whereas bigger teams tend to overlook it.

I would say we have been worse at freekicks, both offensively and defensively, than Milan and many other big teams over the years. Many of the goals scored against us, especially with Cannavaro and Thuram, came off of set pieces in Serie A and the Champions League. Then offensively, I don't remember us scoring a clean goal off of a set piece since Del Piero or Nedved in 2004, and it's quite obvious we don't have a freekick specialist.

However, Almiron could be that player as he does take good freekicks.

What are you talking about? Del Piero scored a number of direct free kicks last season.
