Maybe we should invest the Keita money on the midfield or in defense and just let Kean play.
Maybe so. Only 1 game but was not over matched at all. Defense really looks out of sorts at the moment. Unfortunately Benatia doesn't look like a suitable starter out there. Hoping we get the best of Rugani.

Quick summary and points:

Decent game. A lot of positives. Some not so positive. We have a lot of deadwood. Our defensive line looks shaky at times. On the other hand we have fantastic talent waiting to be unleashed. Some nice surprises. Some question marks still left unanswered.

Highlight of the game: Marchisio's Cracker assisted by a dynamic, hungry Keane. (also beating that scum Alves, complaining to the referee with his shi# attitude)

Player Ratings: Honorable Mentions: (3 stars = Boss) (2 stars = great) (1 star = decent)

*** Keane: Its time to give his father the tractors we promised. Dynamic, looks stronger, runs all game, Creates opportunities, makes the winning penalty and bags an assist after showing great awareness. Boss!

*** Marchisio: Good ol Cheesio. Looked to have picked up a knock, but gets subbed back in and scores an absolute cracker with his left foot. Proceeds to kill the game with a controlled penalty. Keep this guy healthy!

** Betancur: Calm and controlled in possesion. Some nice passing, especially long balls. A no bullshit display with some great distribution. Nice surprise.

** Chellini: rock solid at the back. Like a fine wine. Gets better with age. Cleaned up Benatias mess a couple of times in perfect fashion.

* Higuain: did absolutely nothing, but still managed to bag a goal. The Burgerman is still useful.

* Cuadrado: showed willingness on that flank. Put in a good shift. As mentioned, it will be interesting to see him used on that backline, he surely could make it work.

* Dybala: Some nice link up play. Not in his peak form yet, but the signs are there. Seeks the ball. Creates.

Negatives and worries

- Asamoah: Simply not the same player anymore. Awful positioning, weak in duels, sloppy. Will he ever rediscover his old self?

- Benatia: Not a terrible game, but not a good one either. Has to be way more commanding and take more responsibilty to impress us. sloppy in possesion. Saved by Chello on various occasions. Still not sure about him.

- Rincon: A nice offensive run, thats about it. Does not seem to have what it takes to make an impression on this team.

- Lichtsteiner: some nice offensive runs. still has a motor, but not the same as before. Not sure what to make of him. questions unanswered.

- De Sciglio: A mixed bag. Personally, i cant see him replace Alves in any other way than being a defender. Not convinced.

All in all a great entertaining game. Those who missed out should definetly watch it. The Keane performance alone is worth it.

Cant wait for the season to start! :tuttosport:

Man, Asamoah was looking so terrible. Everytime he touched the ball, I was always preparing PSG to take the ball back. Kean really is a great talent, how many strikers do we have, just Mandzu and Higgy, so Kean staying could be an option, buy a really good DM and RB. I would use Licht as backup RCB for when we play 3 at the back. So we will have De Sciglio for LB backup, Cuads and Licht can be backup RB. I just dont want to see Asa playing for us any more, he has really lost it.. Get an English team to buy please Beppe!

Kean looked great. However, given that Marotta publicy admitted he submitted a bid for Keita, I think Kean should be loaned out for 1 year to develop at senior level - hopefully to a Serie A team that would use him as a starter.

But we didnt sign Keita yet. Lotito will turn down 20m offer.

Haha yeh we will see. He has 1 year left on his contract and refuses to sign and from what I hear he only wants to join us. Clock is ticking.

Of course, if we don't land Keita we can still go with Kean which is not exactly the end of the world either!

Spot on! Betancur's long passing is at highest level.

We have to pray that Chielini does not get many injuries! Cause barzagli does look like his starting to decline.

Kean is so funny to watch. Hes so clumsy but still has technique. Its like his legs are moving to fast for him  Really good attitude, and amazing physique for 17 year old.

Rb. Needs to fixed. Lichsteiner is way past it, and de sciglio looks very medicore.

At last : who was the Young guy in there? I actually felt Sorry for him, he was so overmatched that it was Sorry for him.
