Samp thrash Juve 4-0
Friday 6 October, 2006
Juventus missed their internationals during today’s 4-0 friendly defeat to Sampdoria, but there was good news from Gianluca Pessotto’s visit.

The Bianconeri were without their top stars, such as Gianluigi Buffon, Alessandro Del Piero and David Trezeguet, for the test in Alessandria.

Francesco Flachi is sitting out a two-match ban for a betting scandal, but fired in Angelo Palombo’s cross in the first minute to open the scoring.

Fabio Bazzani was left unmarked for their second, Fabio Quagliarella’s angled drive made it 3-0 and Da Mota’s tap-in sealed the scoreline.

Juventus may have floundered with essentially their youth team on show, but there was reason for celebration in Turin.

Former Bianconeri defender and director Pessotto paid a visit to the club headquarters from the nearby Fornaca clinic where he is continuing the recovery process.

Pessotto was fighting for his life over the summer after falling from the roof of the Juventus offices in a suicide attempt.

He arrived in his wheelchair accompanied by wife Reana and friend Marco Durante before meeting directors Blanc, Giovanni Cobolli Gigli and Alessio Secco in the trophy room.

i dont think we should be upset or worried about this score, bec hey we r playing with our primavera youngsters against a team that has a full squad and actually plays in seria A and at the end of the day its just a friendly. i really am not worried or frightened from this game cos it means absoltly nothing. i think it would ve been different if we had a full squad defiently.
forzaaaaaaaaaa juve!!!!!!!!

I saw 75 min of the match. One thing we lacked, familiarity. The players played well, despite the result, but they are not familiar with each other.
Notes from the match:
- Legro, although coming from an injury, did not show any potential for better performances than his history with us.
- De Cegli was very good.
- Paro was good as well.
- Marchioni lacks concetration in his passes they are often wrong (many due to the fact that the players do not understand each other).

The thing isn't that we lost, it's that we didn't win. Would be pretty damn sweat to beat samp's A-team with our baby team and see some really potential in our youngsters.;<

just read the game report from the official website and we certainly looked lively and marchionni looked like he had a good game.

Interesting thing is that Guzman stayed on the field for 90mins and he wasnt mentioned once in the game report.

yeah i know what u mean, but hey lets look at the bright side i thin the potential is already there and were will samp go away i ve just added them to my list of teams juve will trash when we get back to seria A and returnt o the old storng juve every one feared. and if u r wondering who does my list contain, here u go:

1- real madrid ( with crapello incharge, canna, and emerson still being there)
2- barca ( i have nothing against them but would love to see juve beat them again)
3- inter milan ( wonder if ibrahimovic would score against us may be not with his current display)
4- ac milan
5- and now sampadoria

have faith guys we will be back to the old juve, we just need time and some patience.:pint:

It was only a friendly. When the two teams should clash with full strength in a competative match I think Juventus would win. Samp have no players that come even close to guys like DP and Trezeguet.
