Hahaha WTF seriously!!? Morata hat trick  we really are pony. Gonna be a loooooong season guys. Brace yourselves.
Allegris managing expectations. Spend preseason looking like a Serie B time to lull our opponents into a false sense of security. Now our first few Serie A opponents will be utterly shocked when we come out all guns blazing bulldozing everyone in our way.

Hopefully this will lead to us getting at the mercato for real now and buy actual quality and we won’t see links to players like Paredes

Rugani joined the Pjaca school of thought of "give me days to think this move away to Samp over, while I ghost your calls until mercato closes".

Valencia and Gattuso openly said they cant afford Arthur salary, who was the only realistic player we would get rid of.

Rabiot and Pellegrini seems to get convenient injuries they might milk until mercato closes.

So who is going to leave really?

We can probably sign Kostic without much movement (one of them tops). But anything else?

With a terrible midfield the defense will have too much possession and will be exposed more, while the attackers will be isolated and won't see much of the ball, hence both the defenders and the attack will look 10 times worse than they are.
With a great midfield even average defenders and attackers will look solid and much better than they are.

Only the midfield can make the other parts of the team look much better or much worse than they are.
Unfortunately, our midfield is terrible and it's inexplicable how we didn't fully concentrate on this part of the team this summer.
So more or less we still have the same issues that existed last season?
