We shouldn't use more than two CMs because none of them are creative and Chiesa is wasted as a SS. We need an extra attacker on the pitch. Allegri is doing the same shit for the third year in a row and already setting us up to be ultra-negative.

Perrin
Weah - Danilo - Bremer - Cambiaso
Chiesa - Locatelli - Rabiot - Kostic
Vlahovic - Kean/Kaio

or

Perrin
Danilo - Bremer - Sandro
Weah - Locatelli - Rabiot - Cambiaso
Chiesa - Vlahovic - Kostic

Missed the first half, were Vlahovic and Chiesa working in tandem at any point?
Last year our strikers worked individually, as if having two 9s on the pitch. So no added value of having two strikers with chemistry. I'm hoping that if we stick to 8-0-2 that Allegri teaches our strikers that they need to work in tandem and have a stronger understanding of movement and adaptation. What spaces to occupy for which events, etc, etc.

Chiesa practically played left mid in possession so it was never a front two that allowed much combination play between them.

Cambiaso often tucked in as the LCM in the build up and then got forward whilst Rabbit was the one who pushed up closest to Vlahovic. If we continue to play the way we did in the first half then Rabbit is far from the ideal player to play there as he is quite limited offensively and may add substance to why Allegri apparently tried to play Iling as an LCM in pre-season.
