Not that this game is anything to go by and I know it's been said many times already but Morata is nothing but a striker. It's going to be difficult to figure out how to fit him and Mandzukic in the same trident, if it's at all possible. Morata ain't a winger and as good as he could possibly be playing behind in a 2-1, using his pace, running at defenders, we're just not getting the best out of him and his best is going to be a lot better than Mandzukic's best.

I think playing them both as out and out strikers in a 1-2 trident could happen given they're both very mobile for their size. Morata has a degree of trickery and creativity to his game that most target men (like Mandzukic) don't possess so, with the right trequartista it could turn out to be a nicely balanced partnership. It's going to be interesting to see who out of Mandzukic, Dybala and Draxler (?) misses the most games or if Allegri decides to genuinely rotate them and we never see a concrete line up in attack.

These pre-season games mean nothing, but is it wise every season to mix it up with fucking teams who are practically ready for the new season when we're half dead after a light training session.

FFS now all I see over the internet is people fapping over how Reus raped Juve.
the pre season games mean nothing

Shitty game from us but you could tell our players had heavy legs while theirs were much further in preparations. They start EL qualifications very soon if I'm not mistaken while we're only a week into training. Good to see our team getting back into action though :D

BTW I liked Dybala's game. Decent distribution of the ball and vision from the kid

Now we have to bring in the requested AM to Allegri asap so he could gel with the rest. They all need to work and there's no time to lose. We don't want to gift Nazio the super coppa :D

People never learn. You can count the good games in preseason during the last couple of years on 1 hand. Even last season we lost against amateurs while we had the best season as long as i can remember. We just started a week ago, the players had quite a rest and are tested during training, which leads to players being tired during these meaningless friendlies. However, they will yet again prove they'll be ready for the season as soon as the first official game starts. That's exactly how it is supposed to be. It actually surprises me that people still consider these games as important or even derive to conclusions based on them.
