Then why should Bonucci start and Gallas be just a backup?
Because Gallas is not a long term solution; we shouldn't rely on him to play 38+ games a season, Bonucci (or whoever else) should become the key partner for Chiellini for years to come and we should get that partnership going, and Bonucci is not gonna come to Juve to be a backup. Gallas might because he's unattached and is near the end of his career, so he may be willing to play such a role. If not, he has to find another top club that will give him that opportunity.

I don't think Gallas will come to Juve as a backup of Bonucci or rotate with Bonucci.

Indeed, I think why not sign Gallas this summer and monitor Bonucci for one more season although it might mean we will need to pay a few more millions, considering this is Bonucci's first season in serie A.

And we can sign Ranocchia and use him and Legro as a backup for Gallas and Chiellini. He can be the cheaper option to Bonucci this summer, due to his injury...

This is Good News...Especially if we buy one other centreback...a Ranocchia or Bonucci...or even have Ariuado coming through as an apprentice of sorts. gallas is Solid. I have seen much of him over the years in the premiership. he still has a year or two left in him at the top level, and would go well with Chiellini.

i hope this happens...

A fully fit and in form Gallas is obviously going to play before Bonucci, Rannochia or any young defender brought in this summer. But it is important to implement the young defender into the team over the season....giving him the full time job may be asking too much of him, but not playing him enough is going to dent his confidence and form....there has to be a balance.

At the end of the day, having chiellini, gallas, bonucci and legro isnt bad for a team that finished 7th and if qualified, in the europa league.

Gallas has another good two years left I believe. But for for free? Definitely, sign him up immediately. Then buy a younger central defender and we are set for that spot.

This one is pretty much a no-brainer.

This is smart.

Gallas is a weird fucking player but he is really really good. I hope he comes here. He is a player who for 100% certain can walk into our starting line up and make our defense a shit ton stronger.

Still hoping for Bonucci because this is the future. Come on, imagine, Chiellini and Bonucci. Gallas as as back up is strong, but I also like to see Ariaudo in the future. That man is going to be big, mark my words.

Monday could be the day of Gallas. After waiting by the release of Arsenal and after passing the inclusion in the negotiation of Panathinaikos, now Juventus is ready to attack the French team. DelNeri needs a secure replacement for Cannavaro and the arrival of Gallas at his court are always more reliable. Would arrive in Turin at no cost and would be offered a two-year $ 2 million per season

oh god... monday. :D motta link...

I think it would be good even if we had just won the Scudetto.

:hellyes: for Gallas if it doesn't mean that we will miss out on Bonucci.
