Someone please remind me which clubs expressed interest in Guarin. I remember Chelsea was interested but they got Matic in the end, any other clubs?? I need to cling to hopes of selling Guarin in the summer, can't accept the idea of spending Vucinic money on a squad player instead of that fuoriclasse winger I was hoping for.

I really thought this guy was perfect Merda material. Good player yes, but inconsistent with a real bad attitude, and all round dirty, it was like a perfect marriage.

Marrota (or Conte) will never learn how to make team for the CL. Why we need this guy ?
We already have players like him that are better, and if it is for backup we could have bought someone cheaper. Or he is the backup when we sell Pogba?

I will not judge before he plays at least 10 matches for us.

He's got some talent and can be a good player to have on the bench.

I'm not overly happy or anything but for what it is it was a good deal. Wish him luck.

Cheaper than 1.5M-2M?

Because no one was willing to buy Vucinic permanently. They only wanted him on loan.

Let's not act as if we dropped 15M on the guy.

We no longer wanted Vucinic and this was by far the best deal we could possibly get in exchange for him.

If we use our Summer budget on the likes of Guarin then you have a point. But getting rid of unwanted players is never a bad thing.

Its not that bad a deal, we still havent seen him play, but if Marrota spends the summer budget for "depth" instead of quality,I cant see how we can make some progress in the CL.

progress meaning what? semis? all indications point we dont have the means to get the type of players to compete with the likes of bayern, real, barca... on paper. it's going to take a while.

The fact that merda fans are pissed off to no end should tell you that Guarin is, if not world class, at least a good player, and from what I've seen of Inter he and Alvarez were what kept them going. They suck otherwise.

If he's better than Nainggolan, then that's something, even if he's no Hernanes. If we are getting Berardi/Gabbiadini or someone else from our youngsters next year we are one wingback/winger away from being a CL contender with that kind of depth.

All that being said, I'm sad as hell that Mirko is leaving. I loved that man.

Personally, I don't even like Guarin much (and he's definitely not who I would call a popular Inter player), but it's the principle of the whole thing that's rubbing me the wrong way.
