He is 19 years old dude. Most of your capped defenders are in their mid to older 20s. He is a 19 year old CB that started for Juventus and shut down some of the top strikers on planet earth. His "overhype" is more than deserved.
But he also made a lot of huge mistakes (not all his fault, because he's not fullback). I agree with you on his talent, but he's still way overrated here.

He made mistakes playing out of position, as an 18 year old, playing for one of the best clubs on earth, under massive pressure to perform...and he did just that, he performed. He made mistakes, but so did all of our other defenders last year. Should they be loaned too?

I agree with you, Hust :), I'm just trying to give a varied picture of him :). If he played this season instead of Bonucci, we would probably see some of the same mistakes he made. I don't want that for a promising player like Sørensen.

I am willing to bet that Sorensen would be much more stable than Bonucci.

We wouldn't be seeing the freakish clearances that aren't actually cleared...we wouldn't be seeing pointless long balls out of the back...not to mention, Freddy is a fine passer, our possession out of the back wouldn't be as rushed either.

Conte clearly don't trust him, so I think half a season in a minor club like Bologna will do him good (if he plays). But, as I said earlier, the part ownership is retarded.

I am slowly coming to terms with his departure, I wouldn't be so damn pissed if we didn't have to rely on bonucci now and we had another defender coming in which it doesn't look like it till summer.

That worries me.

But how many times he played CB for us? I think that correct answer is 0, which means that we can only guess how good is he as CB.

Just to be clear, I'm also disappointed that he left us, as he was the only youngster who really showed potential. Now let's hope that he will get enough playing time at Bologna and will come back at the end.

We wouldn't know because we never tried.

We took a shot in the dark and played him at RB and look how well he did in that role, considering the circumstances. Now, with Barzagli & Chiellini next to him on both sides, imagine what this lad could do in his natural role at CB.

We can only imagine. I'm glad that he's been loaned. As long as he gets playing time that is. Let him make his mistakes elsewhere, at a less pressure filled team and come back to us. We'll spend a few millions yes, but I'm willing to write it off as training fees :D

This move is very good for him immediately, and good for Juve down the road. The pressure is on to win and win now. I can understand why Conte would be hesitant to use a 19 year old on the back line in this, the most important season in the last 3 years. Juve make money now off of him, and if he pans out, then great. Juve pay a little more than what they sold his half for, but you have a far more experienced CB coming back into the fold. He was not going to get any playing time in meaningful matches this season. It just wasn't going to happen

Well it's a damn good thing to have an experienced CB like Leadumbo Bonucci then, because he never makes mistakes.

Risk free move any way you look at it.

You would hope that the plan is to let Sorenson develop into a superstar and bring him back but then why did Marotta opt for a co-ownership? These youths we're shipping this and that way are just pawns in Marotta's evil game to bring down Juventus. The guy's a bloody psychopath.
