I don't see why he wouldn't. Del Neri had no problem using him on the left until he had to switch him to the right to get Motta out of the team.

He's shown previously that he's actually capable of making some long range passes. It just seems he's not quite as confident in the going forward part of the game at the moment (being a young CB, after all), so he opts for the safest choice. I'm sure, if he continues to be fielded at RB, he'll grow into it.

Signing of the season in Europe, I have to say he's more of a CB than a RB, but with Krasic further up the pitch we wouldn't be needing a Dani Alves behind that.
