I didn't think he lacked confidence in the Genoa game, and his distribution was more useful to us than what Motta provides...The main difference between the two, if hoping for an attacking fullback, is that Sorenson stays back. For all we know, Del Neri has told him to stay back, and simply hold the line.

Whats I saw of him on Sunday, was very impressive, and he looked like a player making a very serious claim for the right back berth starting place. Unlike Motta, Grygera, De Ceglie, he appears to possess raw, but large natural talent in defence. Which should be the minimum requirement for ANY player in the back line. I was drinking, but not heavily, but only saw him turned once, and fortunately the player who turned him was knackered and sent a piss weak shot towards goal. Other than that, he seemed to win, by taking the ball or blocking the ball every one on one he was faced with.

It surely takes confidence for an 18 year old, playing in the reserves of a danish second division team as lately as last season, coming into our primavera, then thrust into the first team squad...to perform so damn solidly.

With the fullback options we have presently, he seems the most sturdy defensively of the lot of them. On the basis of the three games I have seen him play...as Red mentioned earlier in this thread, its good for his development to learn a little more on the flanks, than focusing solely on a central role, as it will likely encourage his development with the ball at his feet.

Its been a very long time since we have unearthed a true gem. Giovinco has held that suggested title for a long time...and now, we seem to have found someone who is growing in stature minute by minute. And all I can hope is that Del Neri continues to keep him in the first team squad.

Didn't you guy see some sweet switch side passes in Genoa game and one pass setting up a chance for Iaquinta? He is 18 so he can still improve.
That was a nothing ball that he just shunted up the line.

It was only made to look like it was anything more than that because of Kaladze doing what he does so brilliantly.

Not really.

Kaladze just made an arse of it.

Iaquinta deserves some credit for chasing what appeared to be a lost ball, but then wasted his hard work (just for a change).

Typical Scandinavian looking!

Really good work from Paratici to find this kid. 150 000 is nothing for a player with maassive potential like him.
Apparently it was not Paratici who found this guy. Sorensen was spotted a year ago by our scouts about the same time we found out about that Dusan look alike Garcia kid.
