Beckenbauer, message to Inter and Juve: 'Ribery is free to go'

Bayern Monaco’s president, Franz Beckenbauer, believes that there is little his club can do if Franck Ribéry decides to leave Germany in June.
The 25 years old French midfielder has a contract until 2011, but in a recent interview to Le Monde, he admitted the possibility of leaving at the end of this season: "I am happy at Bayern. Everybody is treating me well and I even learnt German, but I cannot ignore other interest".

This led Beckenbauer to think about Ribery’s future, with Real Madrid, Inter, Juventus and Chelsea ready to offer big sums: "Obviously I would keep him – said Beckenbauer to Premiere – We will do everything we can but, if he wants to go he must be left free to do so. These days you cannot follow the contract to the letter. The players have more power than clubs. And then, who wouldn’t play in a big club?".
Now the ball is the other clubs’ court, who may want to negotiate with the player, but first they must find an agreement with Bayern Monaco.

It was taken from a German site. Would they lie even with quotes? Anyway, if they let him go some club like Real will buy him so...

This deal would be perfect... Ribery would thrive here and bring that spark of creativity our midfield has been longing... secco make this happen for the love of god...

Calciomercato is pretty reliable but I just hope they didn't quote it from the Bild or something like that.

Hitler helped the Germans recover from the great depression in the 1930's. Ribery will help them recover from the current economic crisis.
Adolf Ribery- sold to Real for 70m eur in the summer. We can only sit and watch.

Ribery's agent-"so ok, what kind of payment package are we looking at"
Real Madrid-"what you say that we give Franck 80,000 Euro's a week"
Ribery's agent-"that is horse-shit,why would we accept that? Man City would offer double that"
Real Madrid-"yes but we will let you keep hold of the imaging rights"
Ribery's agent-"that aint gonna earn us much now is it? in fact we would probably lose money on that"
Real Madrid-"ok,ok 60,000 a week and we will deal with his imaging"
    All-"deal"

Come to think about it, Bayern paid for the guy 25 mil if they're willing to sell that because they know that some crazy club will splash on the guy (madrid or city). Perhaps they thought that if city were willing to pay Kaka 100 mil then they could sell Ribery to them for 50-60 mil. That would be a great piece of business from bayern's officials.

We simply can't compete with such high figures though....

ya thats right... even if real buy cr7 than manu will look for some on.... there is no way we could compete with manu real or mancity... but i doubt that chelsea will cash out this summer because abramovic lost so much money...

    thumbs up!
there is no way we can buy ribery. He was paid 25m and bayern is really dependent from his performance (just look at the bundesliga-start where ribery was injured - they couldn't do anything). It will take A LOT to get ribery away from them. I don't even doubt Beckenbauer said the "free to leave"-thing. of course... everyone is free to leave, but for a shitton of money... ribery is an awesome player, but there's no way we will pay that much for one single player, when there are the likes of real (or manu, as CR-replacement?!)pulling the strings... and honestly, i can't blame our management; those numbers are just insane

He's too ugly for Madrid. City want trophy's rather than image rights, and with more money than brains, I can see him going to England.

The sooner you get his signature for Juve out of your heads, the better. You will surely blame the Board for not getting him after he ends somewhere else without even using your brain. We have a wage structure and limited transfer budget and it is going to be respected, that's how this club works. And it is the right way to avoid bankrupcy.
