Lyon just signed Bafetimbi Gomis from St-Etienne for around 13 mil euros.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One would think this summer clubs wouldn't spend much (with the Economic situation in the world) yet they've spent more than any summer in the past years.

Really strange....
Not much is being spent other than by two or three clubs.

Lyon are primarily reinvesting the Benzema cash.

He picked a bad time for a holiday.

I want to know how he thinks Arsenal should spend the 40m they got from selling Adebayor and Toure.
A DM first and foremost. I believe it would be realistic to aim for M.Diarra, if we were willing to invest some of the dough we have.

Then go for another centerback if we were serious about competing next season. A tough imposing centerback is iobviously the type of defender i want at the club. Hangeland wouldn't be too shabby, and would compliment Gallas well i believe.

A CB is a bigger priority than replacing Adebayor?

You're happy to go into the new season with Bendtner as your only big forward?

Well a big forward isn't that much of a priority actually. I'd rather a CB to be honest. Gallas is the only CB i trust in this squad, and you know how he's like with injuries.

I'm not happy going into the new season without replacing Adebayor. But we all know Arsenal aren't going to go on a spending spree and buy 3-4 players. So priorities have to be made.

Something around the 40M mark i believe. Doubt we'd spend much of it/ The bulk of it will probably stay in pocket.

I don't really have a favorite team here. I just loved watching Juninho and the rest of Lyon play, but got tired of their dominance. Monaco was also pretty cool when Deschamps was there. Don't like PSG, though.
