I just watched him, score and assist for fun in yet another game. Marvellous to see, but frustrating to know we wont get him...

And Toulouse-Bordo has started, cant find a working stream, but Toulouse already up with Machado scoring.

Edit: Chamakh just made it 1-1.

Disappointing game between Toulouse and Bordeaux, you didn't really miss much Oz.

The biggest positive out of the game was a double backheel Gourcuff did at the second half, a double backheel that released Chamakh on a one on one with the keeper, Mbengue tackled him and got a red card.

But what a piece of magic by Gourcuff!

It was a dull game until the Bordeaux red card. Then the game became really dramatic, L'OM were so close to turning the table on Bordeaux and winning the game at the Girondins.

Valbuena showed Deschamps yet again that he is wrong to bench and transfer list him.

Yup, they pressured Bordeaux a lot towards the end. But like you said they lacked that extra bit of sharpness in front of goal.

A Marseille win would have done the league the world of good.

Lyon's eye for young talent is to die for. Hopefully we can mount a coup for Clement Grenier or Gonalons, two really promising sick youngsters.

Why didn't we take a chance on Lovren? Did he even have a fee associated with him, or did Lyon sign him for free?

His price was around 10 mils I think
€8m.

This season: Bafetimbi Gomis (€13m), Aly Cissokho (€15m), Michel Bastos (€18m), Lisandro (€24m). I would have switched our mercato with Lyon's in a heartbeat.

Gonalons has looked really promising whenever given the chance to play this season. He looks like he could develop into a really good DM.

you have to admit that you are crap (i am exaggerating here) you have more chances to play the talents that you may snap up and who may develop into something ...

juve would not have the chance to play some gonalon because we have players that are just better then him (not form-wise but quality-wise)

it remains to be seen what those players develop to ... just look back the last seasons those great talents the french league had ... they can play those young talents because they do not even have older players that are better quality wise which in itself is not a compliment to the leagues strength and how many of those talents did actually develop into something ...

would you like to have a look at mr nani ?
(i know he came from lisbon but did great too in a very mediocre league and now he is lost)

yeah, he could set the world on fire playing against shit opponents (i am exaggerating again ... dont wont to offend anybody), but against some premier league opponents he just looks like a headless chicken

how many of the talents from the french league did actually make it in another european league ? much less than a quarter of those talents will totally go under in another league ... all those gomis and what they are called are often one or two season wonders and than thats it...

a german saying says : the one-eyed is the kind beyond the blind !

So your thesis is to just disregard young talent and purchase proven players? How is that in any way a smart course of action?

And I don't follow your second paragraph. Lyon have several players more experienced in Gonalon's position, including Makoun and Toulalan. It's no different from Juve and with Melo having shocker performances, I really doubt Gonalons would do much worse anyway.

All successful clubs take chances on young players and have them in their squad.
