Good game between Nice and Marseille the South coast derby has always been an entertaining encounter..

Nice missed the raw pace of Baky Kone..they lost 2-0..and former Juve target Ederson was completely taken out of the game by the consistenly great Lorik Cana..L'OM played without Nasri, who has been in terrible form of late..they didnt seem too affected by his absence..especially with Valbuena being in great form..he's been absolutely unstoppable lately...Cisse who i personally dont rate, had another good game yesterday..he seems to be getting back to his best. Ever since the return from the winter break he has been scoring goals for fun.

Someone who really impressed yesterday was youngster Anthony Modeste..believe me this kid is destined for great things..he is fast, powerful and one heck of a dribbler..even though Nice didnt really test Mandanda yesterday..this kid gave L'OMs defenders hell..all he needs is to improve his movement and finishing, he's only 18 so theres lots of room for improvement..next year he'll take the ligue 1 by storm..you heard it here first

Fred, who do you support/fancy in French Ligue?
To be honest nobody in particular..but i admire both Marseille and St Etienne for their history and tradition.

I like the league generally, as it is where a lot of big players start, and it is an entertaining league where players express themselves a lot, but to be honest this season has been extremely average in terms of producing players and entertainment.

Who heard Aulas's response to United wanting Ben Arfa...you'll have to give us Ronaldo and maybe a little cash, then we might think of it:howler:

Absolutely fantastic, i have to say Aulas is full of himself though:undecide:

First half between Bordeux and Monaco ended 0-0.

Bordeux need to win this one today, if they do they will be one point away from Lyon..Blanc has really built a good compact team for Bordeaux.

Anyone watching the war tonight?
How could i miss it:toast:

It hasnt been the best of matches..but there has been a lot of drama in the first half..3 goals..

Once again Landreau shows what an average keeper he is, do you believe this guy is constantly picked ahead of Frey??!!

Whats happened to the Diarra that came on for Vieira in the world cup final? you know of all the players that participated in the final he is the only that I have no idea what happened to him post world cup.

Landreau was definitely at fault for Taiwo's goal but I did not see the winner.

Does Nasri not play all the time because of injury or does Gerets just rotate him?

Is he? thanks.

Man, Cavenaghi has really come back from the dead. I had completely forgotten about his existence until recently.

There was a time that all you heard was Cavenaghi and D'Alessandro.

It would be a damned shame if Lyon won it for the 7th time and its good that Bordeaux are putting up the pressure

I heard Almiron was awful and that he hasn't shown anything for Monaco yet.

Almiron OUT, Marchisio/Cigarini IN.
