Just download, install dmg and start sopcast. Then follow my instructions in the first post of that thread

Works fine here though I have experienced some crashes every now and then.

Seems the notification thing isn't working from time to time so I've added a change: You need to put a semicolon after the username. Example:

Use this: @username;
Do not use this: @username

I don't really know if it'll help but let's give it a try

Pause the sopcast stream and then open a network stream in VLC, the ip should be http://127.0.0.1:8902 if I remember correctly
