Like NoScript for Firefox, it's a way of selectively blocking Javascript actions originating from specific domains. So, for example, you could allow presumed-safe Javascript on a page from Juventuz.com but have it automatically block any Javascript files hosted with, say, gooqlepics.com.

I visit a Portuguese football forum, and it's hideously filled with retarded images in signatures that weigh down the pages. It's so bad, this is literally my signature image there:

Thanks for the recommendation. I installed it but can't locate the extension folder on my PC. Probably not for the computer illiterate.

Pictures in sigs looks messy and stupid. If everyone on a page had a stupid gif. in their signatures it'd be pretty annoying.

Prior to becoming a mod I was quite happily going along with the option not to show signatures.

Felt I had to change when I realised I wasn't noticing spammers with links in sigs, though.

If anything, this further supports keeping pictures out of signatures. Should limit the number of smileys per post IMO.
