you've never played WE i take it :D

most of the teams have the official names. The teams that dont show the correct name, the official names are chanaged very slightly. (for example: Brazil: Ribaldo is obviously Rivaldo, and Roberto Larcos is obviously R.C.) so you always know who you're playing. Also, the edit menu allows you to make the one letter adjestments.
Because the teams aren't licensed, the teams are called similar names:
Juve : Piemonte
Milan: Lombardia
Arsenal: London

etc. you can easily know the team because the kits, and players are all correct. you can also edit the team name to call it juve.

...
If you have a mod chip installed in your PS2, and can DL patches, apply them to your version and burn a new copy that has everything perfect. (EVERYTHING! They even have the nike vapor, adidas preds, Lotto, diadora..etc)
See thats the thing. Too much damn work. FIFA 2004 already has all the teams, all the players, and everything is officially licensed, no stupid substitute names. What, is Trezeguet's name in WE spelled like "Trezegay"? And besides from that, FIFA's game play is very good as well. So until I hear something to negate my facts, I will stick with FIFA 2004......

Oh come on, all it takes is a simple patch. I'd rather have Winning Eleven's gameplay but with all the players wearing basketball jerseys and the ball graphic being a ping pong ball. Who cares about players' names and all that shite when the gameplay's so exceedingly good

You should really try both games before you make a judgment. I didn't really think much of WE, and I played Fifa from 1995-2004, but the minute I played it on my friend's PS2, it just felt so much more real. Seriously, every goal you score in WE actually looks like a goal that could be scored in real life. The same really can't be said for Fifa.

you never even said that you played WE7!!

Fifa's play may be good compared with snd class soccer games. but not seriously trying out WE is like being rich and settling for a Toyota Camry and saying that it's great when you've never even tried a BMW!!

not "too much" work at all. The one hour that it take to adjust the game is worth the hundreds of hours you'll enjoy playing the game. It really is a world of difference. Now you're assuming that all the names are screwed up. actually now. Only 3 or 4 national teams!! that's it!!

Holland, Czech Rep.,and Brazil have their names messed up a bit (all their other attributes are perfect down to their shoe brand, eye color, and even taping around their shin-gaurds!!! ). THER REST OF THE TEAMS ARE PERFECT.

same here... read the first post in this thread and look how far back i've played fifa and other games... WE7 tops them all.

The detailed tactics and small changes i make to the team/tactics/formation/style/mentality affects the whole game. you feel like you're a coach and you can have the players move exactly the way you want them. the AI is really smart. i'm really amazed and how these Japanese Geeks could emulate the beautiful game this accurately.

but one thing is that it might take you 3 or 4 games to appretiate it when switching from Fifa. (what can help the transition is if you switch the shoot button and lob button in WE7 so it could be like fifa)

but it is stilL as good as WE7? right?
not much difference. PE3 is the European version of WE7 so they only change the language, some of the sponsors, and maybe the menu a bit. too similar to say which is better.

WE7 International (Japan) is the best. it was released a couple months ago. It's tough to get a copy here in the USA, so i'll have to have my brother send my one by mail. It's like an updated version of WE7. They fix the rosters and add some extra options and game play is usually a bit better.

Hey, leave Toyota Camrys alone :D:thumb:

Becchi, please try WE7 before you say anything. I know it's hard to believe that the most well-known footy game isn't the best, but you have to take our word for it :)

other than in the USA, i think WE/PES is the more popular now.

I dont know anyone who's switched from WE to fifa. Everyone i know, even here in the US, are converting to WE. This should say enough.

not really.. even i do say that, that's still a compliment to a camry because of the huge gap in class.

Hey........would you send me one as well (for PC)?......I'll pay for the game and the shipping of course. :)

If it's too much trouble, I seriously won't be offended.

my bro might be comming next month, so i'll see if he can get me a PS2 copy and a PC copy. no problem...
If he does get it, then you can pick it up from here :p ... you're probibly closer to NO than the post office. hell, i could accidently miss the exit on my way to the movies and find myself in BR. ;)

    OR:
If you want the (USA PC) version ASAP, I've already DLed it :D. I was looking for the PS2 WE7I Japan cd image online to DL so i could burn it. When the 730+mb download completed, it turned out to be the WE7I-USA-PC version! Dont know if it works though. i didn't install it on my pc.
I'll put it as a .rar file and share it on soulseek if you want to DL it from me sometime...

we'll worry about it later! :stress:

@ Andrea Becchi: You should try the game first........Once you do that, you won't even care if Ronaldo is named Shaka-zulu and is running around the field in a pink thong.
    :scared: :wth:
