First season with Juve in the first transfer period.
Everyone I go for decline me, including Asensio, or in that case RM decline my offers. I sold Hernanes give add some cash. In my irritation I sign Berardi by activating his clause, thinking that I won't sell or buy anyone.

On the last day I receive offers on Evra, Lichtsteiner, and Sturaro.
I sell Evra for 1,5m, Licht for 2,5m, and Sturaro for 30,5m. I figure I can use to cash to splash in on Bazoer, Asensio or Maia. RM refuses to accept my bids. Ajax and Santos accept my bids and Bazoer accepts my contract but not Maia. Which is fine because I can only afford one of them. Then in the last minute when I am supposed to just finalize the deal it turns out I lacked funding (1,5m) because the club had reduced the transfer revenue to 75%...

Now Khedira is out for a couple of months, so is Mandragora and Marchisio. Asamoah has been retrained as LB so I have at least two LB. But I only have Pjanic and Lemina available as MC for the forthcoming months. I think I really messed things up here.

I'm not sure Evra and Licht was worth selling for combined 3m profit, I rotate plenty to keep them fresh, it depends on tactic but I play 4 man defence and everyone was needed in my first season. In fact Licht did better then Alves and Cuadrado when he was used against minor teams before big CL ties etc.

Do you offer bids in 48 months installments? I do for all so only some part of is taken from this year's budget. Also ask them to increase wage budget which they would do once, so I can adjust wage budget lower when a transfer fee is out of my normal range.

Crap... I didn't do that and the window is closed. I will try during the winter break if I don't get fired. The next time I play I will have to see what tactical dispositions I can do until Marchisio and the rest come back.

Ps. Before I closed FM earlier Buffon got injured. It's the same with my Liverpool save, all players seem to be made of glass. I always have half a team down. I actually do rotate a lot but I want at the very most 22 players in my first team. I tend to have around 20 and then a bunch of youth players to rotate with. That strategy doesn't seem to work in this year's edition.

anyone else having trouble with ridiculous keeper errors? Donnarumma is rated at 4 stars in current ability and he's cost me a couple of important goals from dropping the ball or coming out of goal and missing it entirely when under no pressure. I didn't notice this problem during the beta (when i had Buffon) but its cost me in some key games.

was leading 2-0 away to Arsenal until Donnarumma dropped a soft header that was directly at him instead of jumping on it he just stood there and watched as slow ass Giroud waltzed up to the ball scored. Arsenal leveled the game when a harmless cross deflected off Bonucci's leg and Donnarumma just stood there again and watched as the ball slowly rolled past him and over the line

away to Sporting he cost me another lead when he came out of goal to jump on a misplaced pass under no pressure, jumps on it, yet somehow the ball continues to roll through him and hits the post. He rushed back jumps on it again and somehow Sporting FW kicks the ball out from under him and scores.

Anyone else having these problems? Its really frustrating cause it only seems to happen in big games...

My Juve has turned into a feeder club for Man City. They got Pjaca 90m, Ousmane Dembélé 89m by activating his clause, and now Dybala for 71m also by activating his clause. The clauses were inserted as non-negotiable by the agents when renewing their contract, which I had no choice but to accept.

How did you guys get Donnamura and Romagnoli? They reject all my offers. They eventually accept bids from other clubs when the players are not happy anymore, yet they reject my higher bid than what they accepted by other clubs. Same thing with Icardi.

Have any of you won the Champions League yet? After 3 season, I am yet to win it, losing two finals agaisnt Arsenal & PSG.

Haven't had any trouble holding on to my best players. Dybala has wanted to leave at times but in the in between moments when he hasn't i've managed to sign him to longterm contracts

Serie A rivals will play hardball with you. I had to pay 70mil to get Donnarumma (figured its worthwhile as now i have world class goalkeeper for the next 20 seasons)

I only got Romagnoli because he signed for Arsenal and i bought him from there the next summer

I still haven't won the CL either. I've cruised through to final and just choked it several times now

Milan accepted 25m for Donnarumma in recent Barca save I started. Didn't get him due to lack of funds.


In Juve game took around 50-60m or so.?

I am still curious, question for @Osman and some others who played with three playmakers simultaneously (Marchisio, Verratti/Asensio, Pjanic, or whoever else you used). From what I understand you played three at once in a 4-3-1-2 formation but what roles did you use? I have never had any success with playing three roles as playmakers at once but you guys obviously had plenty of success. So what did you do?

I play the two CMs to the sides as box to box CM. Only make exception few times if opponents really shit.

Anyone figure out throw ins yet? Seems like every throw in my team takes they give it away to the opposition even though ive instruct nearby players to come short and have throw ins set to short it always goes right to an opposition player or a player of mine whose tightly marked

Trying hard to get that 4-3-1-2 to work but without any success. Higuain is useless, can't score open goals. Dybala is a beast one game and rates like 5 the next. I know it is my fault but cannot figure out what mistakes I am making.
I go with Buffon (sweeper, support); Alves (complete wb), BonBon (ball playing), Chiellini, Sandro (complete wb); Khedira (b2b), Marchisio (deep pm/defend), Lemina (b2b); Pjanic (a pm/support); Dybala (complete/support), Higuain (poacher).
Attack, flexible, through the middle, balanced width, quick tempo, high defensive line, offside trap, close down more, tight marking, prevent gk distribution, and then I don't remember...
Everyone is instructed not to shoot. Pjanic to play more direct, as well as Marchisio. The rest beside strikers to play short passes.

Can someone explain the fatal error I am making?
