I'm so, so proud of my team.
After I kicked out Fiorentina in 1/8 of CL (2-0 away, 5-0 home), I got Atletico in 1/4.
They signed couple of stars such as Kolarov, Subotic, Milevskiy, even Cazorla. I though they'll destroy me.
1st leg was great, both sides had number of chances and scored 1 goal each.
I had to play 2nd game without my best player, Christiansen, starting DM Sandro, another starting striker Maniero and backup DL was very, very doubful Lee Wallace.
I dominated in 1st half, but conceded in 33', Kun Aguero scored fantastic goal from 30 yards. Worst thing ever, huh? Well, yeah. I had some doubts over my chances after that strike, but things got a lot worse after Schelotto's red card in 40'. Fucking imbecil.
I benched Delph, put Richards on DR and substitue Wheater took his place as right central defender.
Team-talk changed the game completely I guess, I started mega offensive even with one man down.
Result was tied after brilliant corner kick in 53', Wheater scored great header.
Both teams kept playing offensive, Aguero was especially dangerous, but nothing big happened.
Well, until 94'. Milevsky was going straight to my GK, he'd probably score 1 on 1, but Shawcross catched him and kicked from back. Another red card. What to do?
Should I put old and slow Lescott? No, I decided to bring Lee Wallace in even though he was injured, played left back all his life, had an orange icon and at 70% condition. I needed speedy player to stop Aguero and others.
I played with 4 in defence, moved Camacho and Defour on DMC and only one on central midfeild was Fleck. I kept him because of great long shots. In attack I had 18y old Turkish sensation Kaan Kambur.
Needless to say, Atletico was dangerous every single time.
But, I held on and decided to bring old Barry in because there's a chance of PK's. I never though I'd score the winner with 9 player.
But I did. In 113', out of nowhere, Kambur scored after Kompany's huge mistake and misunderstanding with De Gea.
Atletico played with 4 strikers since then, I put Kambur on AMC to help the team and somehow, we've managed to survive and to tell stories. I did it. I fucking did it.
I play FM for 10 years now and this is one of my favorite wins.
