I met Italian students in the bar who are visiting the university for the summer, and we started talking about serie A. They all were telling me that in Italy, Juve fans hate both roma and Inter for sure, but they would rather see inter take it than roma.
I can see where those fans are coming from.

Juve hate Inter and Roma.

If Inter win, Juve fans can sort of shrug and say they have a great team.

If Roma win, it would be embarrassing for Juve in a number of ways.

I prefer Juve to share its pain with its rightful rivals. When we don't win the league, neither should our rightful rivals.

As for Totti, yeaaaa I hear you. You remember we had a smiley with his name? :D

:crybaby:
That smilie which some punk renamed is part of the deepest heritage of Juventuz :touched:

that argument supports hating inter more and wanting them to falter, if roma and nazio are so far off the radar why should we care about them winning anything?
Because being beaten by Inter is the natural order of things. It's like fighting with a kid who's the same size. Whereas Roma is like being whoopassed by a toddler.

I hear you.
For me if this was prior to calcipolo, then I would rather Inter win it, but based on the events during the last 4 years and all the accusations, then it would be hard to cheer for Inter against anybody. They way their owner, directors, fans, and players talked about Juve is just tough pill to swallow.
This might sound strange, but I actually find Inter more likable now than before. I mean the anti Juve stuff was always there, but it used to be blaming the world for all their mistakes. Now it's more like they have a grip on things. And on some level I sorta always wished more for them than they had in the past, so a part of me is okay with their dominance. Just as long as we can get our act together.

I totally disagree, based on all the incidents the caused Juve to be that bad.
Prior to the calciopoli they always blamed us for paying the refs and cheating, and then a comapny owned by their OWNER manipulated evidents just to get rid of us, which caused us to lose millions of dollars, many players and end up in serie B. Since then Juve hasn't been the same. I know the blame should also be for our owner for hiring the wrong the people that hired the wrong coaches and bought the wrong players, but Inter still has a big hand in most of our problems.
Roma is a midtable team with no history what so ever when compared to Juve, so if they win it wouldn't matter for me. On the other hand Inter being our #1 rival winning and getting closer to our record of 29 serie A title would be really annoying to take

I'm praying for Bologna & Atalanta to win their last two matches and Lazio to lose theirs.

After that rubbish they deserve to go down. If they want to throw games go throw them in Serie B.

Yeah, maybe. I mean I don't know what really happened and I don't expect I ever will. But even so I don't lay the blame on their current players or Mourinho or their fans. And in some sense I used to sympathize with them back when they were hopeless, wished they would be as good as Milan (always 2nd and 3rd of course but still :D ).

No, but there is a lot of history since 2000 when they've been our biggest rival, and definitely void of any kind of mutual respect as we've had with Milan in the same period. Not to mention Totti is still, 10 years later, my least favorite player in Serie A.

weak weak team...weak fans..their behaviour is just shocking...but what did you expect from lazio? a win? so that roma would take the scudetto? never
i didn't expect them to win, I expected them to have a love for lazio more than hate for Roma. The thing is, I am not amazed by their behaviours, since I learned to expect anything from the fascists

Yeah,

They are still years of being our main rival, unless Inter disappear right off planet earth.

Any of these 2 teams would be a tough thing to take. Roma having a weaker squad and still winning it because they have a better coach, should be a wake up call for our owners for keeping incompetent directors that made many mistakes since being back in serie A.

Me too. I hope miracles happen and they loose all their remaining matches while Atalanta wins their next two games.
