Jack I did start posting like week or two ago, but u can see me always betting, and predicting scores.

And yes i was busy. I had few very good months.

Thanks for checking site.
It's not my problem that it appears like that. The moment Roma took the lead you started gloating about Ranieri. You may have been active or busy or whatever but what the outsiders see is that a long known Ranieri fan comes and starts talking about Ranieri's achievements right after leading the league can be interpreted in different ways.

As i said before I did post before.

Anyway, im sure that 95% of Juve supporters want CR to win title , and not Jose..
And believe it or not , i am one of those 95%

I think Inter will still win the scudetto. Hopefully not, but despite playing CL and Coppa too, I can see them winning all the remaining 5 matches. They sucked lately and they might find the strength for a strong finish.
Roma on the other hand, it will be a miracle if they win all the remaining matches and finish the season with 10-0-0, or a 22-6-0 record in the last 28 rounds. I can see them losing points on 1 of the remaining 5 matches, and that might prove to be enough in the end not to win the scudetto.

GL to Roma in any case. I don't see them winning all 5 matches, but there is hope that Inter won't win all 5 neither.

Serie A, goals+assists

Attackers, midfielders, defenders.

1. Di Natale 28 points (23 goals+5 assists)
2. Milito 23 points (19 goals+ 4 assists)
3. Miccoli 22 points (15 goals+7 assists)
4. Ronaldinho 22 points (9 goals+ 13 assists)
5. Matri 18 points (13 goals+ 5 assists)
6. Barreto 16 points (12 goals+ 4 assists)
7. Gilardino 16 points (15 goals+ 1 assist)

8. Hamsik 16 points (12 goals+4 assists)
9. Pazzini 16 points (14 goals + 2 assists)
10. Vucinic 16 points (11 goals + 5 assists)
11. Totti 15 points (10 goals+ 5 assists)
12. Borriello 14 points (13 goals+ 1 assist)
13. Cassano 14 points (7 goals + 7 assists)

14. Cossu 14 points (2 goals+12 assists)
15. Eto'o 14 points (11 goals+ 3 assists)
16. Mascara 14 points (8 goals + 6 assists)
17. Quagliarella 14 points (9 goals+ 5 assists)
18. Adailton 13 points (10 goals+ 3 assists)
19. Balotelli 13 points (8 goals + 5 assists)
20. Floccari 13 points (10 goals+ 3 assists)
21. Maccarone 13 points (11 goals+ 2 assis
ts)
22. Maicon 13 points (5 goals+8 assists)
23. Di Vaio 12 points (9 goals+ 3 assists)
24. Jovetic 12 points (6 goals + 6 assists)
25. Pato 12 points (12 goals+ 0 assists)

----------------
26. Diego 11 points (5 goals+ 6 assists)
-------------------------

One of the things this list shows is the lack of quality midfielders. Guys like Lampard, Robben, Ribery, Fabregas, Xavi, Iniesta, Kaka etc were surely gonna find themselves high on this list if they played in Italy, just like most of them already are high on the lists of their respective leagues. But Cossu and Hamsik are the only 2 midfielders in this list of 25 and none of them is particularly impressive. Cossu assists a lot, but is a poor scorer. For Hamsik the opposite can be said.
There are quality DMCs (De Rossi comes to mind), but the league certainly lacks creative players who can both score and assist a lot. Even Sneijder, who should normally be included in this list, is having a relatively average season in serie A and he has 4 goals + 5 assists.

Natural that he's there imo. I like him in the second half of the season, granted he wasn't his usual consistent self in the first, but in the second half of the season i'd say he's back to being the best fullback in the world.

good analysis, but you are blurring the lines between attackers and midfielders, many will argue some to be AM's, ronaldinho mascara are no different than kaka robben ribery as far as classification. So really serie A lacks creative MC's a la fabregas lampard iniesta and xavi who are a very rare breed.

:agree:

I was going to say that a lot of those in blue could be called attacking mids.

Many of them are AMs indeed. Or, at least, AM is their original position. But most of them played as support strikers this year so I (actually, not I but the sites I used to find these stats, consider them as ATT <attacante>) included them in the blue colored players.

Interesting list. One thing I've said before is that Serie A is less of a midfield based game than Spain in particular, but also England. Midfielders are expected to win the ball back more and give it to the second striker to create or score, but clearly there are some exceptions. The individual and collective strength of the Italian game over history has often been about its defenders and defensive units, fantasisti and goleador. I don't recall many Serie A classic midfielders ever scoring a lot of goals, unless you start to look at players like Kaka and Platini, who played far forward. In Serie A players who come in from another league (I recall Vieira saying it, also Tiago) often comment on the extra room in the centre of midfield but lack of room in front of the final third as they are closed down, maybe one reason.
