How is that even possible?

Ranieri gave us 2nd/3rd spot. We never had some great football going on but he gave us many points and we were chasing Inter with many average players in our team.

Ferrara had more better players, 50mln more invested into our squad and he failed to do anything. We never had such a losing streak and a bad display.

As a coach Ferrara is ten times worse. And I say coach while Ferrara is not even a coach. He's a club football legend and that's it.

I don't regret sacking Ranieri, though.

And you know why? I bet you do, and I shouldn't have to repeat it.
If Roma had a team as good as Inter's and if you asked me who's gonna win the scudetto, then i'd say Inter. You know why? Because Ranieri indeed proved that he falls under pressure and he's not the coach you'd like in your team if you want to win trophies.
But I have nothing to add if you think that Roma can't win the scudetto because of Ranieri. This Roma lacks quality so much, that it's even a miracle how can they go undefeated for so long and do so great compared to, say, Juventus and Fiorentina.

Ranieri deserves a lot of praise for what he's doing in Roma, but you'll never admit it.

Ferrara won our last two games that got us second due to Ranieri chocking in the final months that saw us slip to fourth. Ranieri is a better coach but both of them messed our seasons up just as bad. What did Ranieri win?nothing what did Ferrara win?nothing, both were as bad as each other.

And the fact that you pursue the issue makes you look more like a Ranieri fan than a Juventus fan, IMO. The guy was a disaster for us but some folks still like him, still want to find every opportunity to give him some credit, et cetera. Just goes to show they don't have our club's best interest at heart.

Unlike you, I hope for all the clubs above us to lose, not just one or two.

Dude, Ciro won 2 freakin' matches. :howler: He gets the credit but it's not like he won us the CL and he was not our savior.

Ferrara is not a coach, that's a fact. With him we were 8th and we had 15 more matches to go. We wouldn't even make it for EL next year with him. We'd fight to stay in Serie A based on that play.

Ranieri ruined Juve?
And not only that he ruined it but he did it at the same level as Ferrara did?

And you actually believe this bunch of crap?

Lets see then.....
- We come from serie B. We can't buy stars and Secco buys a bunch of average players who know nothing about each other. Ranieri still manages to make a team out of them and win the 3rd place ahead of the holding CL champions Milan.
- Our second season in Italy. The board again doesn't buy top quality players. We play CL, we beat Real twice and lose the 2nd round by one single goal to Chelsea. Ranieri is 3rd in the league, playing the season with something like 70 injuries, even though half of this forum expected us to finish 8th, million points behind the super Milan who just bought Ronaldinho and had a magical Ronaldinho-Kaka-Pato partnership. We beat Roma 1:4, Milan 4:2 etc.

Ferrara:
- Played the last two matches of the season, against Siena and Lazio, and won them both.
- Finally we had a great mercato according to the Juve fans. Superstars like Diego and Melo joined.
- We get crashed in CL, by being humiliated 1:4 at home and we're 8th in serie A, out of every single competition. We broke every single negative record that could've been broken.

How on earth can you say that they were the same?

Cut it and don't twist my words. You know perfectly well that I'd like them all to be eliminated if it's possible.
But we all know very well that Juve can't win this year's scudetto and that it will definitely be one of Milan, Roma and Inter who'll win it. I chose Roma, and surely not because of Ranieri. Just like there won't be an individual that will make me support Inter if the scudetto race is between Milan and Inter.

Since Roma are obviously out of the scudetto race, I promise you that you'll not hear me supporting them now. Quite the contrary, actually. If we win tonight they become our 3rd place rivals.

I can't be bothered disecting what has been said in the last page or two, but I basically agree with what Alen has been saying.

Ranieri is a good Serie A coach; not a great one, not an awful one.

I heard somebody mention that argument but I didn't even think of it seriously.

That's just..
Nah, it's his right to have such an opinion. Maybe he rates other things in strikers and he thinks Defoe is better. We can simply disagree with him.

But also, after claiming that Defoe is better than Rooney, it's our right not to take his opinion seriously anymore when he claims that X is better than Y or that Ranieri is just as bad as Ferrara.

FFS COME OOOOOOOOOON. Ciro's stint has been THE WORST coaching I ever seen, Ranieri's blatant mediocrity is Rinus Michel standard compared to Ciro's.
