He won't start for sure. Absolutely no place for him and the friendlies proved that. He might easily end up being sent on loan somewhere.
As for Flamini, it's another tricky situation. With Ronaldinho, Pirlo and Gattuso having their place secured (at least at the start), Ambrosini (who has just been promoted to captain), Seedorf and Flamini will fight for the last place in midfield.
What Leonardo might do is play one of Ambrosini/Seedorf in midfield, move Zambrotta to LB and play Flamini at RB.
Flamini is wasted at RB though.
Milan's midfield is way too slow and static. Kaka was making things happen, but right now a mobile midfield will easily outplay Milan, the way Juve did last December in Turin.

Newly promoted Bari have announced a deal to sell the club to Texan businessman Timothy L Barton has been reached.
The Matarrese family had been in negotiations for the sale for several weeks, but had kept the identity of the buyer a secret.
This afternoon the official Bari website released a statement confirming talks were successful with JMJ Holdings, real estate firm based in Dallas.
“Following the meeting between Alessio Mora, an advisor for the holding company interested in buying Bari Calcio, and representative Salvatore Matarrese, the two parties jointly announce a valuation price has been agreed.
“The negotiations will continue and the paperwork completed by August 18.
“Mr Mora confirms that the business interested in this transaction is Texas-based JMJ Holdings, led by Timothy L Barton.”
Bari made their return to Serie A this season after several years in the lower divisions, but President Vincenzo Matarrese remained unpopular with fans and opted to sell up.
According to the official JMJ Holdings website, the company works in real estate developments and is “engaged in the acquisition, development, management and advisement of luxury assets around the world.”

Albanian businessman Rezart Taçi has confirmed he won't buy out Bologna, but insists it's not an economic issue and he will invest in Serie A.
The deal to purchase 80 per cent of the shares from the Menarini family was already finalised when he sensationally pulled out yesterday.
“The negotiations with the Menarinis has been terminated and we decided not to go ahead with the agreement we reached 10 days ago, for reasons I cannot divulge,” Taçi told Sky Italia.
“It is not down to economic issues. We looked at the club's books, but I cannot divulge any information.
“My intention is to participate in Serie A - with or without Bologna.”
This leaves Bologna in the lurch and it is reported that another investor is interested in taking over.
Claudio Sabatini is the owner of the Virtus Bologna basketball club and confirmed he could enter the fray.
“If Menarini wants, I am ready to sit down at the table to discuss buying the club,” he told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
“The facts prove that negotiating with local buyers who care about the city and this side can make the difference.”
