Totally agree with what Alen said But i'd add that IMO they won't even make it to the top 4 this season.

Both Genoa and Fiorentina will push for top 3-4 positions next season. Genoa has a much bigger team this season than last. This Genoa team looks really great on paper (not just the starters but even the reserves are pretty great) with gasperini as their coach he can work wonders with this team.

Fiorentina were making it to the top 4 for the past 4-5 years now They've lost Melo but they can replace him with someone else (corvino will sniff around and find someone to replace him).

Plus Roma who can push for that 3-4th spot too. With the current squad milan are officially doomed

Looks like Gattuso and Pirlo are rotating the armband between themselves lol only at Meelan...
on channel 4 there is a story about pirlo going to chelsea next week. If that happens Milan will be screwed. That cant afford to lose him.

Chelsea will prob win the EPL if Liverpool lose Xabi and possibly MAscherano and the blues get Pirlo.

If Pirlo is really going there, Deco might be leaving Chelsea for Inter. Which is good news depending how one looks at it. Inter may not go after Cassano if they land Deco. An Inter with Deco looks less intimidating then one with Cassano ...

Galliani to buyout Berlusconi?
Friday 31 July, 2009
Reports suggest Adriano Galliani could be trying to buy Milan from Silvio Berlusconi in a bid to alleviate the club's financial problems.

The Rossoneri have come under a lot of stick this summer for making just one signing despite selling Kaka to Real Madrid for £56m.

Fans have staged protests expressing their view that Berlusconi can no longer be seen to invest in the team, as he is Italy's Prime Minister.

According to Tuttosport, Galliani is prepared to head an Israeli group of investors who are ready to inject a lot of money into the team.

Galliani has been Berlusconi's right-hand man at Milan since 1986.

He is now the club's Vice-President, though it is widely accepted that he runs the club, as Berlusconi can no longer be in charge because of conflict of interest laws.

Pirlo says goodbye
----------------------------------------
Friday 31 July, 2009
Andrea Pirlo has played his last game for Milan and will join Chelsea at the start of next week, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

A meeting has apparently been scheduled at Milan's headquarters in Via Turati where the deal will be ratified.

It is as yet unclear how much Milan will receive for Pirlo, though initial reports suggest Chelsea will pay £21m over two years.

Peruvian striker Claudio Pizarro and England Under-21 defender Michael Mancienne are also likely to form part of the deal, the latter arriving on a one-year loan.

The deal is said to suit Milan Coach Leonardo who has been desperately looking for a striker all summer. Pizarro appears to be the answer to his problems.

Pirlo is expected to sign a three-year contract worth £2.1m a year.

If the transfer goes through, Pirlo will be reunited with his former mentor Carlo Ancelotti, who made him one of his first signings for Milan in 2001.

Milan were not a title contender after they sold Kaka
They would fight for 4th place maybe 3rd as I believe they are still the 3rd best in Italy BUT if Pirlo leaves Milan then Roma Fiorentina Napoli Palermo and even Genoa could make a hard time on them and challenge them to CL spot and even Uefa cup place
1-2 Juve and Inter. Inter are still slight favourites IMO but we won`t let them run away like last season
Roma could be awaken and reclaim one of the top 4 as they definetly are one of the top 4 in Italy Fiorentina are still a good team despite selling Melo and despite all the selling Milan are still Milan
my prediction:
1 Juve or Inter
2 Juve or Inter
3 Fiorentina
4 Roma
5 Milan
6 Genoa
7 Palermo or Napoli

as for other news Mutu has to pay Chelsea about 14.5M pounds does he has that kind of money at all?

Pirlo's simply priceless.
He's not :martini:

21 mil for a 31 year old off form pirlo (was decent in the friendlies though) is great business.

Same with the Kaka deal, 67 mil euros is great too but it all depends on what milan will do with that money?!

Are they gonna reinvest it or not if not then they better keep they're players.....

The can bounce right back if they buy players like D'agostino, Fabiano, and say...Ribery or Cassano.

I think they can atleast sign D'agostino and Cassano, which should give them a little edge back.

by the way I bet Milan are kicking themselves hard now over giving Gourcuff away for a cheap amount after losing Kaka. They could have really used the kid

Why would Pirlo join Chelsea? What's in it for him? They'll kill him over and over again in England. The guy will not play the 2010 World Cup, that much is for sure.
