The Serie A looks more exciting than ever. After a season where Inter dominated again it could well we the season where other teams could challenge the Nerazzurri for Lo Scudetto.

Inter have strengthened their team with the likes of Lucio, Motta and Milito. They have the stability of continuing with the same team simply adding new players. It remains to be seen whether Ibrahimovic will stay or not.

We are on our way back and it looks promising for us. A new coach with new ideas in a team that looks stronger and stronger on paper. There is still time to make other transfers. It could be the first in many years where Juve could fight again for Lo Scudetto.

Milan have lost Kaka, Maldini has retired, Senderos and Beckham are gone. In return there is Silva in defence and their new signing of Onyewu. They will have to dispose of more of the old guard and replace it with younger power to stand a chance of making a go for the Italian title.

Italian football are facing a time of economic crisis that sees the biggest stars heading to England or Spain instead of the peninsula. Italy is still Italy. A nation with proud traditions of producing new Italian talent, and that may just be what to rely on if the big foreign names cannot be tempted to arrive to Italy.

Inter set to offer Eto'o huge contract

Inter are prepared to offer Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o a five-year contract, which could earn him up to £8.5m a season, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 28-year-old Cameroon international is said to be no longer a part of negotiations for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who appears ever more likely to be moving the other way.

Yesterday, Barcelona President Joan Laporta said a deal for Ibrahimovic would be done independently of anything regarding Eto'o, who had also interested Manchester City.

According to La Gazzetta, Laporta originally asked for £12m in return for Eto'o, who scored 36 goals last season in all competitions, as Barcelona won an unprecedented treble.

However, given Eto'o is in the final year of his contract, his price has reportedly come down to a figure nearer £4m, which is still only part of the story.

To seal the deal, Inter might agree to play in the Joan Gamper trophy, a friendly held every year in honour of Barcelona's first ever President.

Meanwhile Eto'o's agent, Josè Maria Mesalles has left for Barcelona to start talks with Laporta about finessing a deal for his client.

Mesalles is then expected to fly to Milan tomorrow where he will meet Inter's two sporting directors, Marco Branca and Lele Oriali.

He will ask for a five-year contract worth £8.5m a season, which Branca and Oriali look set to offer albeit structured in a slightly different way.

They have apparently tabled a contract worth £7.3m a year, which will rise to £8.5m should Eto'o realise certain objectives in Nerazzurro.

Astonishingly, Eto'o fits into Inter's plans to cut their wage bill, as his would be predecessor Zlatan Ibrahimovic currently earns around £10m a season.

Actually there is...he is a below-class player who doesnt have the character nor the qualities to be a captain...in a team where u have players like Inzaghi(although i hate this due), Pirlo and Gattuso its just unacceptable to give Ambrosini the captaincy
