You can ask to Prandelli about this. Both of them played under Prandelli in Fio. And Pazzini didn't perform well there so he is sold to Samp. Pazzini is nothing without Cassano. You can start to count from last 2 games when Cassano being ousted from the team by Del Neri, how many goals did Pazzini scored?

I have been against the simplifying conclusion that Pazzini is nothing without Cassano, considering Pazzini is still the one putting in the goals (just like people used to insult Forlan in saying he was all Riquelme), BUT there is NO way he is as good as Gila let alone better AT ALL.

Liked him since Atalanta, but Gila is defenitely better. And he needs to be better then Iaquinta and current Borriello (been looking classy) to be "the best italian prima punta", and he AINT.

Btw, not one to overrate Fiorentina's mercato around here, but got damn what a coup it is that they are getting Cassano. Its almost like they planted Del Neri there so they can get him.

I don't know who started that dump myth but it certainly one of these cliche's where someone says something and everyone keeps repeating it over and over again till people actually believe it !!

The guy was decent enough with Fiorentina every time he came from the bench he either managed to score or get close to scoring. He didn't have such an impressive goal stats but to me he has all the tools to be a quality goal poacher. With experience he'll be just that. Give him time.
