An irritable Jose Mourinho complained Juventus have a kinder fixture list than Inter and hit back at criticism of their performance against Barcelona.
“As usual, we were unlucky,” snapped the Coach. “We played last Sunday and Barcelona on Saturday, so they had an extra 24 hours of rest. On Wednesday we play Napoli, who have their game today, while Juve play Saturday and Thursday.
“I don’t want to seek any explanation for the fixture list, as this is not just about Inter, but everyone who played in Europe. These teams should be protected so they can perform to the best of their abilities.”
Mourinho insisted he was happy with the Nerazzurri’s performance in the 0-0 Champions League draw with Barcelona despite widespread criticism.
“Julio Cesar won’t play tomorrow as he is so tired, having touched the ball three times against Barcelona,” said the sarcastic Special One.
“Compare that to the performances of [Gigi Buffon], [Marco] Storari and [Sebastien] Frey. Either I laugh or cry, so right now I prefer to laugh remembering Inter have played their last three Champions League games against the 2009 Finalists.
“Wesley Sneijder hasn’t yet worked out how to play within Inter, but at least he has now learned the names of his teammates. Against Barcelona he was tactically astute and worked for the team.”
Now he looks forward to Sunday’s encounter with Cagliari at the Stadio Sant’Elia.
“Last season we were unable to beat the Sardinians, drawing at home and losing there, even if it no longer counted as the title was already won.
“Up until now we have played three Serie A games in a month, but now there will be three in one week and it’s a very different dimension.
“We are just at the start of this season and don’t need to rotate the squad yet, but it must be tough for those who also have international duty on top of everything else.”
Esteban Cambiasso has made a lightning fast recovery from keyhole knee surgery and should feature tomorrow.
“We will see, he has done spectacular work with the fitness coaches and medical staff. He is ready to play now, although I am yet to decide if it will be right away or from the bench.”

If Julio Cesar touched the ball three times, Victor Valdes could have set up a fucking deck-chair and sipped on daiquris and read a copy of the local newspaper for the whole 90 minutes as he wasnt tested once by Inter's pathetic attack.

According to newspapers in Barcelona, Milan star Ronaldinho is considering an early retirement due to a “lack of motivation and new challenges.”
The Brazilian made the transfer to Serie A last season after two disappointing years at the Nou Camp and again failed to light up San Siro.
He has not delivered so far this term either and was dropped for the Champions League trip to Marseille, while he is out of Sunday's game with Bologna due to a cold.
“Ronaldinho is aware of the fact his decline is totally dependent on his lack of motivation and new challenges,” read the article in Sport newspaper.
“He behaves like a former professional football player. This is why the idea is hovering around his head to make the decisive step and retire.”
Dinho is only 29 years old, but it is claimed he had already considered retirement during his final season at Barcelona.
The offer of a new start at Milan changed his mind, but Carlo Ancelotti and Leonardo failed to get him to work hard in training.
To make matters worse, if his performances for the Rossoneri do not improve drastically, he will not be included in the Brazil squad for the 2010 World Cup.
“Ronaldinho is running on empty,” continued Sport newspaper. “His presence in South Africa is more than ever a utopian dream.
“Even the 6.5m Euros he is pocketing from Milan are not enough to bring his smile back.”

Wow only player of such limited class and motivation like Ronaldinho would retire when he is going through a bad patch. If this rumor happens to be true it is shameful that somebody who won so many awards and was so highly thought of would just give up like this instead of asking for a transfer to a lesser mid table side where he could play regularly and regain his form. Ronaldinho should show some humility and commitment to his football

Francesco Totti cannot work out what is causing Roma's crisis, but admits they struggle to follow Claudio Ranieri's orders.
“There isn't just one reason behind what is happening to us at the moment, that would be reductive,” said the captain.
“We need to win. That is the only option I know to get out of this situation and see the light at the end of the tunnel. We are playing very badly and that was clear in Basel.”
The Giallorossi lost their Europa League opener 2-0 in Switzerland on Thursday and tonight welcome Fiorentina, a game you can watch LIVE from 19.45 UK time.
Ranieri won his debut 2-1 at Siena, but the trip to Basel showed a significant step back in their development.
“I cannot understand what's wrong. [Former Coach Luciano] Spalletti used to ask us for more complicated passing moves.
“Ranieri asks us to be more simple in our football, yet we still can't seem to put that advice into practice. It's incredible, I really can't explain it.”
