no player in the world can unlock a defence like that. Inter were well drilled, and there was simply no space. Barcelona simply didn't stretch them. Messi can't be expected to dribble that many men in that small space, any one who expected him to do so is an idiot. Zlatan was useless; he couldn't hold up the ball, dribble, or shoot. Xavi's a wonderful player, but a player like him needs space to pass in to. Through balls require space, and there wasn't any. The problem with barca was that they didn't draw defenders out, and you can't unlock a ten men defence when it's that crowded. If they had been more willing to shoot, dribble, and move the ball faster, they might have unsettled Inter's defence, but they refused to to any of that, except for a couple horrible shots from Keita and Toure. Inter did extremely well, but Barca played in to their hands.
