oh and reading these past few pages  i guess no player in the galaxy can score against those mighty south-american national team defenses either

Messi is a tremendous talent and on track to being a great player, but the crazy comparisons needed a reality check...
I read somewhere that Maradona is jealous of Messi taking over him so he doesn't play Messi in his favorite position in the National team and that's why Messi can't perform for Argentina :p

It started when Maradona didn't celebrate Messi's wonderful goal against Atletico Madrid even though he was in the stands :D

This is definitely true. Messi is not as effective when he drops too deep to get the ball, but when Riquelme is in the team, he doesn't need to drop deep to get the ball.

That's because it's such an awkward thing to define.

I, for instance, would say that Messi is probably the best player in the world.

He is still overrated, though, because he is not the best player ever, which is what some people claim.

Messi just needs to start wide and have someone capable of giving him the ball plenty playing in midfield.

I can't understand why Barca have played him more centrally so often this season, because it makes it so much easier to crowd him out.

You didn't watch the game right?
He was close to beating Barca just like Inter did at home. He just doesn't has the high potential players Inter has, that's the only reason he failed.
Go stick your head up Ronaldos arse.
Almeria's coach too managed to come so close to beat Barca, you know. So because of that he would have beaten Barca too had he had Mourinho's team?

Gorss' team sometimes can't even beat small clubs in Bundesliga who are all inferior to his team.
