It was obvious he didn't mean it, and he would have gotten the ball had what's his name not touched it just prior to his foot going over the ball.

I think you can tell he was trying to put his foot on top of the ball and pull it back.

At least that's what it looked like to me.

Ribery is not that type of player your right, if he meant it or not should not determine the severity of the ban.

Yea, but I think one game would have been enough.

Well, Ribery is like Rooney in the sense that if you can get him off his game and frustrate him he gets pissed (angry, not drunk) when he can't do what he wants to.

That is what happened.

BUT UEFA IS RUN BY A FRANCER!

FREE RIBERY, PLATINI!
I don't think you need him for the final. Altintop impressed me last night.

Van Gaal should just rest Robben until the CL final, he is much more worth then Ribery at the moment, if he would get injured, then Bayern's chances would seriously decrease, definatly more then without Franck.

They've got a league to win in the mean time.

They would look pretty stupid if they lost the league because of not playing Robben, then lost the CL Final as well.

Ribery Questioned by Police

Bayern Munich chairman Uli Hoeness believes the club's chances of keeping Franck Ribery have improved since he was caught up in a police investigation.

Ribery was recently questioned by police as a witness in a case of prostitution involving a minor in France and his lawyer believes the matter is now closed.

However, reports in Spain have claimed that Real Madrid have cooled their interest in signing Ribery after he was previously tipped to move to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.

The France international winger, who continues to be linked with a switch to the Premier League, only has another year remaining on his contract at Bayern.

But, after Bayern secured a place in this season's UEFA Champions League final, Hoenessremains hopeful that the club can convince Ribery to sign a new deal following the recent allegations regarding his private life.

"We are keen and we have supported him in every aspect with regard to this," Hoeness told Bild. "Mark van Bommel was even visiting him at home.

"I know this has all moved Franck and his wife very much, but it is a fact that our position has not been worsened at all.

"Everyone from our club has behaved well throughout this, everyone supported him and absolutely cared about him.

"This was a matter of course, though, as he has done nothing wrong."

I know, and a cup to win also, but with Robben being so unjury prone, I think it wouldn't be stupid to not let him start every match, they have plenty of good midfielders that are able to make the difference in the league.

At least take him off every time a match seems played.
I would be very carefull with him until the cl final.
