I see how objective some of you are regarding Ribery's suspension :shifty: :andyandbarcelona:

Perhaps you wanted UEFA to give him a medal in recognition and acknowledgement of his malicious attempt to dismantle Lisandro's ankle.

Perhaps a 3 match suspension is a bit too harsh, but he does deserves to be suspended for 2 games, in any case rendering him unavailable for the final.

I think that the coefficient is important, looking purely from a Juve fan perspective. What Sab says is partly correct, but she forgets that there were cases where teams needed CL qualification and then ended up winning the whole thing. It happens not to have a great season, end up 4th and then to have a brilliant season. Milan for example won the last 2 CLs after playing the qualifiers. Now imagine if Italy had 1 or 2 spots less those years. Milan weren't even gonna play CL the year they ended up winning the CL.
So even though some might say that we won't deserve playing in CL if we don't end up in top 3, I would still like Italy to have 4 places just in case Juve don't have a great season and finish 4th in the end.

Now, some people here think this way and they keep cheering for Italian teams in Europe simply because they want the best for Juve. I respect that.

I'm not like that though. Despite acknowledging the importance of the coefficient, I can't help myself cheering against Milan and Inter. Fuck it, it's stronger then me.

But I don't like the hypocrisy when people go ape-shit on me for cheering against Milan and preaching to me about the importance of the coefficient and then the same people end up cheering against Inter even if they know that Inter winning or losing that particular match will make the difference in the coefficient standings.
:delpiero:

You are really such a mature poster , Alen , i'm admiring you more than ever now :nerd:
Well , having 4 spot is absolutely a best scenario , but having lesser CLs spot temporarily is also not that bad like what people makes it out to be , what i want to express was no matter how much CLs spot Italy has , we should always placing ourselves into the highest achievement , and what if we fail ? try again next year and personally i will never cheers for the team like merda , Ohhh God don't let it happens :wallbang:

for the rest of your post just nice :pint:

:lol2: I hate Ribery. But I think it's ridiculous to take such decisions after you know if they play the final or not. And 3 matches is way to harsh.

No. Red card is one game ban and depending on how harsh it was they can extend that ban and they did that today.
I was also under the impression, that he was on 2 game ban, also the commentator in the channel I was watching the game mentioned it yesterday (it was not the same channel as for Yasor). But whatever, Ribery's actions suits his ban, it doesn't matter if you're a Ribery or a squad player.

Is there any evidence Bayern being in the final influenced the decision?

I think the timing of the decision is off, but 2 games sounds about right.

In any case, it shouldn't matter; dare I say Bayern have been performing better without Ribery in their line-up?
Yep.
They don't need Ribery and I don't like him.

Is there any evidence Bayern being in the final influenced the decision?
Who knows but you could think it is like this don't you? It was a stupid decision to decide that so late. Make it clear before such days will come because every Bayern fan was hoping for it not to happen and now they have the salad with everyone thinking of such stupid conspiracy.

I don't even know why I defend myself here with everyone being deep up inters arse for Cl spot

I agree.

I thought Bayern played some of their best stuff earlier this season when he was injured.

Who knows but you could think it is like this don't you?
You could, but I don't think this decision is out of line with others made in the past.

Doesn't apply to me.

I want Bayern to win the thing, because I'm fed up of the continuing disrespect shown to them by the English media.

No it was not. They decided today if they want to extend the ban or not.
Sounds terribly unfair.

A 3 match ban is not too harsh if you ask me, but why didn't they decide this earlier? Uefa could have avoided a useless discussion, instead they provoked one.

After such a shitty season, seeing them still bitter at us when they're one step from the CL final that they haven't reached in what? 40 years? while they still have the upper hand walking out with both league and cup. I love it :D

I don't think that implied they're especially bitter towards us. It's just a fact that we're their rival, like Real are Barca's rivals.

Just mentioning it at this crucial stage means they do actually still taste bitter.
What can I say? I tend to be an asshole sometimes.

Not when I'm asleep though.
Well you picked the right avatar then :p
