Barcelona certainly don't deserve respect for the result tonight, if anything, they should be laughed at for not winning this game.

I guess respect is in place for Arsenal in a way, because they fought, like you said, but it's not like they turned the game around completely. They got a result, but at the end of the day, it was pure luck and a bit of never seen before magic by Almunia.

You'll always get overreactions for either team, it wouldn't be Juventuz without those.
Well their heads didn't drop and they continued attacking. No such thing as luck, only mediocre and clumsy mistakes by Valdes and Puyol, us capitlaizing on them, also the fact that we committed so many players in attack caught them off guard. It wasn't the best way to get a result, but sometimes you have to do it ugly. Its teams that do it ugly that go far. Ask United or Chelsea.

I can't believe Fred just thanked the Danish guy for his performance today and apologized to him too
Bentdner played a really good game, i'm his biggest critic as everyone who knows me will tell you, but credit where its due. He caused Puyol and Pique trouble with the limited service he got, he assisted the first goal with a perfectly weighted pass, and he assisted the second with a cool header down to Cesc. Other than that he won all the aerial balls, he forced Valdes into a tough save, and he gave a fantastic cross to Diaby after dribbling past two Barcelona players on the right.

At least a 7.5 for him today

Well, if you look at it that way, no team ever gets lucky, apart from when somebody scores from a deflection or stuff like that. Of course they're Barca's mistakes, but you're lucky they make them allowing you to score, that's how I look at it.

Anyway, your boys did keep fighting, no doubt about that and it might not have been the best way to get a result, but it was definitely the maximum you were ever going to get from this game, so in the end it's a good result for you.

It's just that people will make it sound like a great Arsenal side turned the game around to deny Barcelona a win. Anything an EPL side does is great etc.

That's not aimed at you by the way, just at EPL fans and media in general. They annoy me no end.

And I feel for you for having to defend Arsenal against so many EPL-haters. Fred

@,the bolded part. Yes of course thats true, i really don't believe that much in luck. I believe in taking advantage of your opponents mistakes, we did that. They did not take advantage of our countless mistakes = they don't deserve to win, because you should not make such silly mistakes as a big team and you should be able to defend a 2-0 lead against a young and injury plagued team.

Easy logic really. Barca didn't deserve to win, because they didn't win.
