I expected Bayern to really storm forward and put em under pressure, but they seem to cope fairly easily.

How could they not though, with players like Marchionni and the likes.
I was surprised that so many people wrote them off in this tie, despite their poor form in the league they have really performed in the CL this season and even though Bayern are favorites this tie should be a close one. Fiorentina's style of play works much better for them in Europe than those of the other Italian clubs.

I know, I never wrote them off myself. They've done really well in the group, showed some good football. I simply expected Bayern to full on go for it in the home game. I figured there'd be a bit more fireworks early on.

Viola look alright here.

De Silvestri and Gobbi have one single duty tonight. They have to stay next to Ribery and Robben and move wherever these two move.
So far it works. Absolutely no space for Bayern's wingers.

Fiorentina should keep pushing forward, their defense isn't good enough to stop Bayern's attack if they sit back.

Also its nice to see an Italian side playing away from home in the CL who are pushing forward against a stronger opponent.
