Btw, I'm not sure, but I think that we won't lose too much money, compared to last season, from our CL elimination.

Qualifying for the 2nd round and then being eliminated probably means some additional 2-3 m eur compared to our situation now.
But if we do good in Europa League we'll get back those money.
Even if we don't, it won't hurt us too much financially.

For example, last year Juve got 22.1 m eur from the CL participation. 50% of those (11.8 m) were from the market pool and this year we again win those money. Actually we win even more from the market pool because we were second placed in serie A last year and we get a bigger percentage of the market pool.

We won 5.4 m for playing in CL groups, and we got the same money again. We won 900k for the 3 wins and 3 draws while this year we'll get a little less because we managed to get 2 wins and 2 draws.

The only thing we lose are the 2 200 000 we won't get for not playing in the 2nd round and the money we won't get for ticket sales.

But if we do good in Europa league, we'll win the money back and due to getting more money from the market pool compared to last year, we might end the season with even more money gained than we did last year.

Not playing in CL at all is a huge financial shock. But being eliminated one round earlier than usual (and lets not fool eachother. We were never gonna make it past the 2nd round) is not a big shock financially.
It was humiliating and painful, but financially we won't suffer.

Well one could easily just bring Buffon's several gaffes in set pieces against Bayern and say he was lucky he didn't concede. Buffon was poor yesterday too.

I personally rate Buffon higher than Casillas and believe he is the best keeper in the world. But the difference between him and Casillas isn't as big as you guys make it out to be.

It most certainly is as big.

And Buffon's punches didn't hurt us in the end, even though they were uncharacteristically poor.

Real fans say the same thing about Buffon btw. They think Casillas is light years ahead of Buffon.

Personally i think they are on a similar level, with Buffon being slightly better.

Well then by that logic, the stupid penalty Casillas conceded didn't hurt them in the end, even though it was an uncharacteristically poor penalty to give away.
I don't overrate our players no matter the player, even Ale.

But I've seen enough of both Buffon and Casillas to know the truth.

If there is one thing Juventus has, it is the best keeper in the world, without a shadow of a doubt.

Like i said, i agree that he's the best keeper in the world. But i do not agree that there is a big difference between him and Casillas.

Well, fair enough. But I will never agree with it. Hopefully Casillas will continue to make errors like he always does, thus reaffirming his overrated status.

It had definitely a lot to do with his injury. Buffon was never as insecure as he was yesterday. It was said that his pain is getting stronger and he won't even play Bayern. I'm sure he decided to play despite the pain he felt. His operation was already set for after the Bayern match so he's got his excuse for yesterday's insecurity.
