I made a post last time around predicting the four teams in the semifinals, and one of them was Viola. Much of it will depend on the draw, but thus far I can see them getting to the quarters. They'll probably get CSKA or the greeks and get through, then get Sevilla in the quarters.

    Hopefully Inter will get Chelsea.

Btw, credit where it's due. I was never a supporter of Prandelli and Fiorentina, but they won their group with Liverpool and Lyon in it, with 5 wins out of 6 and the only match they didn't win was the one against Lyon in France where they played for 50 minutes with one man less and had a 0:0 until Gilardino's red card.

Prandelli, together with Ancelotti and 1 or 2 more, are the only Italian coaches who play atypical (for the Italians) football and that football works in Europe.
Ancelotti proved it with Milan and now Prandelli is proving it again.
Spalletti too. He sucks at organizing the defense, but he prefers the way of football that brings better results in Europe.

A flop. No need for more average players.
He wasn't a flop. Dominguez was pretty dangerous.

I can't stand Spalletti's football. Totti up top by himself is just nonsense.

    :agree:

Prandelli has been always impressive for me.

    Not sure about Spalletti, though.

I don't like it too, tbh. I hate his incapability to organize the defense even more than I dislike his weird decisions.
But you must admit that his football gives better results in Europe than the football prefered by, for example, Capello.

Still, teams can't expect to win anything big with Spalleti so i'd hate it if we appoint him as our manager.

I like Spaletti's football. He has challenged inter twice with a much weaker squad. and he challenged for the title way better than how we are challenging.
He also performed well in the CL (until UTD showed up)

I think he is a good coach but i dont think he is good at transfers. I am scared he would buy us a baptista or players of that level.
